Dallas raised up her hands in a "so shoot me" pose. "Alright. But the thing is, I'll just be shunted off to some low life job, if I can get back to Aviemore in the first place."

"what do you mean by that being in the lower world can get your status bumped up into at least the palace guard position." Rin said.

"Look, I gave up on that idea a long time ago," Dallas said. "How much further should we go until we make camp?"

"She's already protected enough," Dallas said coolly. "Whereas little children are kidnapped or starving. I act as a guard for those who need it most, instead of standing around when nothing's going to happen!"

"that's what the royal guard is for." Rin said, after all he was the one who was in charge of the guard and elincia's eggsact commands to them were to hand out food to everyone everyday.

"No, it's not," Dallas said heatedly. "There are still hundreds of hungry people roaming the streets, and Elincia sits in her palace, floating above it all."
Her voice cracked at the last bit and she looked away. "Forget it." -
(it's actually very interesting because they see on different sides and she thinks that the queen knows everything whereas Rin is learning about what happens in their city of peace) "you think elincia can control that. She may be our queen young lady but she is still only human." Rin said.
