"it's what's down there that matters, and for your information those belong to queen elincia of aviemore and I'm the one that built them." Rin said.

"Shoot. I must not've gotten them all," Kenna said, "I didn't find anything. Just a bunch of winding tunnels. But it's cool that you built them. Except here's my question: how could the people at school know that they're forbidden, if they don't even know they're there in the first place?"

Eve stared as everyone was talking.

"they say don't go through any purple doors BECAUSE they specifically belong to the queen." Rin said.

"I was wondering why the doors were purple," Kenna said. "Pretty color for dark and dirty tunnels. Yes, I know that's the queen's color," she said, looking at the person's face, "but again, I'm still in one piece. No one's caught me down there, and sent me to the guillotine."

"that's probably because the queen forgave you, but what's down there is better left unknown." Rin said.

"Alright," Kenna said, frowning. "I got an idea. So, when we do get back, then we could say that you were the one that brought us back. Then you'd be deemed a hero, and you'd be sure to gain a seat with the Council."

"I could be in the council anyways, but I'm not letting children run around my Homeland and die." Rin said.

"Then you have no reason to be killing yourself because you're not on the Council," Kenna said. "You made the decision not to be on the Council, and you just said that you could go on, so then why kill yourself? Just ask for a spot."

"it's much more complicated than that. Elincia herself asked me to join the council, that's enough to honor anyone for life." Rin said.

"Well, then she must really want you there," Kenna said.

"way more than a mere child could understand, but now that I've refused I feel guilty whenever I look at my queen, but I couldn't accept." Rin said.
