(that's also one of the reasons I wanted them to stay in aviemore for longer to show why he jumped and that he knew it wouldn't help)

"you think I don't know that kid, everyone up in aviemore is better off without people as old as me who haven't even joined the council." Julius said

"Well, I can't think or know, because I don't know your age," Kenna said, matter-of-factly.

"Well I'm over a thousand years old." Julius said (the council is pretty much the government there except they still have a queen who has a whole different story but you're supposed to join the council when you turn 1000)

"Now I have two questions," Kenna said. "Why didn't you go on the Council, and how come, even though you're not on it, do you see your life as worthless because you're not on it?"

"I didn't want to waste the rest of my immortal existence with a bunch of people i barely know and once you become 1000 no one talks to you." Rin said.

"So basically you're antisocial and you're killing yourself for it," Kenna said.

Dallas jumped off of the tree. "Do you ever want to go back then?"

"I have to go back, my sister is up there and she's sick." Rin said.

"Well, it's settled!" Dallas said. "We have to get back! How do we set on doing that?"
