"No, you should Shift into a dog," Jenna said. "That way, when they come, they'll think they shot my dog and made a mistake."
-
"I can't shift. The wound is bleeding too bad. Just get out of here." Lavinia said, hearing the humans getting closer.
-
Jenna picked Lavinia up and put her on her back. Then she Shifted into a horse, and was off.
-
Lavinia fainted from blood loss as Jenna carried her.
-
Soon, Jenna figured that they were safe, from the humans, at least. She slowed down to a trot, and decided that since the last cave was all the saw back there, they'd have to settle for the cover of bushes. She Shifted back into a human.
-
Lavinia was floating in a dark pool, reliving her past. She saw her mother, smiling as Lavinia made a pretty light show with the sunlight and water...Her father, showing her pictures of animals so she can practice shifting. His love for snow leopards evident in how much he showed her images of it.....The look of fear on the nosy maids' face before Lavinia got her revenge...
-
Jenna yanked out the arrow. She swore under her breath as she tore off one of her sleeves to bind up the would. then she thought of something. it would be tricky, possibly deadly, but it might work.
-
(hey, Jenna is a mind-reader right? )
-
(Yeah. I'm going to have her use her power in my next post. Is thee something specific you wanted her to do?)
-
(I was gonna ask if she could see what Lavinia was seeing right as she was reliving her parents capture and execution.)
-
(What I was going to do is a thing from a book. And you can sense what the person is thinking, like the idea of it, emotions and stuff, but you don't know specifically what they're thinking.)
-
(But if she's not going to do what she's going to do, then she'd see Lavinia's thoughts perfectly.)
-
(I like your idea better. It leaves mystery as to why Lavinia feelings go from happy to panicked to such a strong, overwhelming sadness.)
-
(I'm just using this from a book.)
-
(what book?)
