"That's the thing," Lavinia said. "We can't let ourselves despair. Eventually we'll find someplace. It may not be the magic place, but it will be a town. You look normal, so you can go blend in and have a life. Me, either I become someone's dog or I live in the forest forever. There is no way out for me, but you can pass as normal."

"Well, we'd have to see if magic is illegal in that non-magic town," Jenna said. "I'm hoping for the magic place, though."

"It will be illegal until we get out of this kingdom for sure. I hope we find it too, but if we can't you still have a chance to be free," Lavinia said.

Jenna nodded. It was a long ways to the border. She wondered how long they would have to stay as wolves. As long as they needed she reminded herself.

(I got a question. The idea has been floating around in my mind for a couple days but what if they ran into some hunters?Not Hunters, but normal catches-animals hunters?)

(I was thinking they could stop for the night at a small cave, then as Lavinia goes to hunt, she smells humans. She runs back to the cave to find Jenna is either about to be shot or has been wounded. Or it could be vice versa if you are tired of Jenna getting shot XD)

(Yeah, I have a feeling Lavinia is going to be livid if she has to take care of Jenna again.)

Lavinia stopped at a small cave. "We can rest here tonight. Do you want to try hunting?" -
"Sure," Jenna said, and she was off. Soon, she could smell an elk. But she perked up. That wasn't the only thing she smelled. She also smelled humans. She ran back to the cave.

Lavinia was sniffing around outside of the cave when she heard Jenna crashing through the forest. Making that much noise, she'll never catch anything. Lavinia thought. Just as she took a step forward to go find Jenna, an arrow struck her shoulder. Lavinia yelped in pain and tried to run. She collapsed just as Jenna broke through the underbrush. "Run Jenna! Escape!" Lavinia said panicked.

"No!" Jenna said. She grabbed Lavinia by the scruff of her neck and started dragging her till the were out of sight by the humans. Once out of sight, she Shifted back into a human.

Lavinia Shifted to human form. "Jenna, shift to wolf form. I can't run but you can," Lavinia whispered before curling up, trying to cover her body without moving her shoulder.
