Jenna shrugged. "Doesn't matter to me." she said. She looked at the fawn considering which part too get at first. Well, the obvious choice would be to start with the lags, so she tore off a leg and started tearing into it.
-
Lavinia was impressed, although she didn't let it show. She thought the girl would be more squeamish. This girl is definitely a survivor Lavinia thought as she tore off a leg and began to dig in.
-
The taste of raw, fresh, bloody meat was strange. But the wolf she was now told her that it was fine, she wouldn't get sick like frail humans do. She was hungry too.
-
Lavinia finished the leg and ripped a chunk out of the fawns' shoulder/rib area.
-
Jenna scraped all the meat off with her teeth and tore off another leg.
-
Lavinia heard a sound behind her. She spun around and snarled, showing her blood stained teeth at the coyote trying to sneak up and steal their kill. It turned and ran, and Lavinia returned to her meal. "You want some of the intestines?"
-
"Nah," Jenna said, "I'm not in the mood for sausages." she tore off another chunk of meat.
-
Lavinia laughed then sank her teeth into the fawns belly. After eating her fill, she walked into the water and used her power to wash all the blood, fur, and bits of meat from the fawn off her fur and muzzle. "When you are done, I'll do the same to you, if you'd like," She said, turning back to Jenna.
-
Jenna finished and shook her head. "I'm nothing to baby around," she said. She walked over to the river and washed herself. When she was don't, she walked over to Lavinia. "Let's keep on going," she said.
-
Lavinia nodded, and took off at a brisk pace up river, towards the mountains. She wanted to get as far as she could before bedding down for the night.
-
"The mountains cover a lot of area," Jenna said. "Do you know about where we're going?"
-
Lavinia shook her head. "I was just going to cross between the two tallest peaks and look there. But maybe we'll see someone or sign or something like it on the way that will tell us where to go."
-
"Alright" Jenna said, cocking her head. ''I just don't really want to be wandering the mountains for who knows how long."
-
Lavinia rolled her eyes. "Why? Got a hot date? In case you forgot, nothing but death waits you back there. You have no home to return to," Lavinia looked down, sadness in her eyes. "Neither of us do."
-
"It's not that," Jenna said, "It's just that the longer we travel, the more despair we'll have, and then eventually we'll just want to give up. I've heard many stories from visitors to the city about it."
