Dorvakin said "Actually I've had Scout since he was a pup. Most of the time my people will go camping and the Dire Wolves will smell our meat. If they aren't too hungry, we share it with them and let them decide if they want to be with us." He took another drink of whiskey and said "But I didn't find Scout that way. I found him whimpering and trying to push the corpse of what I could only assume was his mother."
-
''Hm,'' Elbereth mumbled, remembering a time her father went hunting, having claimed he killed a mother Dire wolf without returning it home because of the pup had protected the corpse. She rubbed Scout's ears gently with a small frown. ''Poor Scout,'' Elbereth said, her eyes on the wolf.
-
Dorvakin said "Yeah, but I took good care of him. But now I just thought of something, do any High Elves keep pets of any kind?"
-
''Pets, I don't believe so,'' Elbereth hummed, her brows furrowed. ''Father and mother said, these pets are filthy creatures looking for a master, much like a slave,'' Elbereth said as she turned her gaze to Scout. ''They told me this when I was young. I believed them for they were wiser and older,'' Elbereth said, sighing. ''I really wanted a small pet at the time, so I could finally be taller and bigger than someone,'' Elbreth snickered, her lips curving into a smile as she petted Scout.
-
Dorvakin wondered why her parents would say that and said "Pets aren't slaves. They're creatures that deserve love and will give love back. Yes some are used for work but they always love doing so with their owner."
-
''Love? Hm,'' Elbereth hummed, hand outstretched. ''Can I have some more whiskey, I ran out, clearly,'' Elbereth said, gesturing to the empty pouch. Her brows were furrowed, and her drunken state was clear in her eyes, in her expression. She truly wanted to forget this interaction with the Drow, for if she doesn't remember, she wouldn't be able to tell the High Elves where she hid throughout the night. ''I just need a little bit more,'' Elbereth said, closing her eyes for a moment as she had a pounding headache.
-
Dorkakin said "Again no. Unless you can wait, I'll go back to my house and get some of my ale, if you're that desperate."
-
Elbereth groaned, laying down the ground, her eyes looking at the canopies. As the moonlight shone through the leaves and branches, she could see small patches of the sky. Elbereth closed her eyes, relaxing as she took the time to get her thoughts together. ''I have such a headache,'' Elbereth laughed aloud, as she rubbed her temples. ''I might just sleep the rest of the night, if you wish return back to your home, I'm sure no patrolling Drows will find me,'' Elbereth whispered for she was too close to the borders.
-
Dorvakin stood up and said "Alright. I'll go get the ale. Be careful and I'll be right back." He walked off back to his village, hoping she wouldn't kill Scout.
-
''Of course, come back soon,'' Elbereth said, as she laid down on the grass, her head facing Scout. She used her hand to gently rub his the wolf's head with a smile. Elbereth closed her eyes, enjoying the silence and her moments alone with the Dire wolf. She understood so much more than she had before.
-
Away from Elbereth, Dorvakin transformed into his vulture form and flew back to his village. Being slightly drunk, it was a little hard to fly, but he made it and started looking for his ale.

Elbereth sat up, and leaned against the tree, unable to rest. She felt her fingers buzzing slightly, as the felt a surge of energy erupt inside her. Elbereth cleared her throat and removed the bracelets. With shaking fingers, she removed the rings. Taking a sigh, at the very least glad that no rocks erupted from the Earth, of the earth sinking within its self, or glad that a rushing water was coming to create a lake.
-
Once he found the ale, Dorvakin flew back to Elebreth. Any Drows that saw him thought he was a random vulture.
