Dorvakin watched Elebereth walk away and once she was gone he walked back to his post.
-
Elbereth saw the mixture of blondes and brunettes all sighing in relief at the sight of her. Elbereth climbed over a fallen tree, the tallest female, glowered at the maiden sighing in relief. ''Goodness, Elbereth, you gave a scare,'' The tall blonde female, named Marinette said, hands on her hips. ''Well, we made it far enough, let's go to the lake,'' Marinette added. Elbereth knew her friends had bad intentions since the lake was almost apart of the border, the only place where the two different species can interaction legally. ''Yeah, sure,'' Elbereth said, still wanting to keep her young spirit alive.
-
Dorvakin looked around and hadn't seen a thing. He figured today was just going to be another boring day.
-
Once reaching the lake, Elbereth lingered away from most people, sitting near a tree, watching the High Elves and the young Drows interact. Their intentions were rude, almost a strong tension in the air as the Drows took the fault whilst the High Elves insulted them. No matter how often Elbereth was asked to join she would sit, be reminded of Dorvakin's kindness and refuse her friends often.
-
Dorvakin looked through the spyglass again and looked at the lake. The young Drow that were there were throwing insults back and forth with the High Elves. As he looked closer he saw Elebereth alone. He wasn't sure why she was there but was a little bit happy she wasn't engaging in the insults.
-
As the brawl continued forth, remaining verbal, Elbereth moved to the other side of the lake, near the water and away from the others. An activity, fighting with the Drows, once fun cause dread to fill her core. Licking her lips, Elbereth swarmed her hand in the cold waters of the lake.
-
The Drow started to get angry and the tallest one looked like he was ready to punch one of the High Elves in the face.
-
Elbereth ignored the situation, best for her to keep her emotions in check rather than intervene. With the cool water still tingling against her pale hand, Elbereth glanced at the High Elves and the Drows occasionally. She bit her bottom lip, wondering if she should interfere.
-
Dorvakin kept watching and was hoping someone else would stop them before it got violent. He saw no one and thought he had better do something.
-
Elbereth took a breath and remained by the waters, hoping her friends wouldn't bring her to join the fight to prove the High Elves were the better species. For being the chief's daughter, they tended to use her title for foolish things. Elbereth swallowed the lump in her throat as she wished to swim into the waters to hide from such a situation.
-
Just as the tall Drow was about to punch one of the High Elves, Dorvakin came out of the forest and said "Alright, that's enough." He said "You three Drows go home and you High Elves go away. That's enough arguments for one day."
-
The High Elves snarled at Dorvakin, throwing insults as they walked away. ''You coming, Elbereth?!'' Shouted a male High Elf as the small group was going to return back home. ''I'll be there in just a minute, tell my father and mother I'll see them soon!'' Elbereth shouted over to them. The other High Elves nodded in response, disappearing behind the trees. Elbereth glanced over at Dorvakin but, soon averted her gaze back to the lake.
-
The Drows straight up cussed at the High Elves as they walked away. Dorvakin noticed Elbereth didn't leave with the others and walked over to her.
-
Elbereth watched Dorvakin approach her, a small smile on her lips. ''Hello again,'' She said, taking her hand out of the water. Elbereth allowed droplets of water to fall from her hand, hovering her hand over the cool water.
-
Dorvakin said "Hey." and knelt down in front of her. He said "I have to say I'm kinda surprised you didn't participate in the insults.."
