Elbereth walked near a great wooden house, the windows concealed and seemed well kept. Young Elvish children, woman, and men walked through the dirt streets with laughter and glee. Elbereth entered the large home and wandered through the halls.
The home was well kept, polished and clean. Guards stood in their post, there to protect the chief and their increasing tribe. Elbereth followed the scent of freshly cooked foods to the dining hall. There rested her father and well mother, the two chattering away. She approached the dining table, eating the meal in silence. Before she knew it, the silent meal ended and the sun grew tired.
With the setting sun, Elbereth sat near the Borders, with a sack of whiskey. She sipped slowly at the hard whiskey, her brows furrowed. As the sun continued to set and the moon began to rise. Elbereth took no haste. With her small brown sack of whiskey for the long night, her bow and arrows for defense against the wild beasts lingering in the Borders, and at last her cloak to remain hidden in the dark. She slithered into the darkness of the woods, as the moon began to rise. Elbereth inched near the Drow's territory, sure not to come close.
With that, she would remain near the path, hiding behind the trees and bushes until sunrise. For she wouldn't believe what her father was to request if Elbereth was to be found so she remained hidden. Elbereth clung to her cloak, her breaths small and light. She stared into the nothingness of the forest, looking at the tall trees as the moonlight began to seep past the canopies. -
Dorvakin sat in his house, drinking his ale. He kept thinking about that High Elf girl he met and why she apologized for his father's death. He always thought High Elves didn't care about them.
-
Elbereth stood, sure to hide from the torches' light that inched near. She took a breath, entering the sinful lands as she pulled her hood over her head. She avoided punishment, for invading the Drows' territory was far better than having to deal with her father's silent wraith. Elbereth took a sip of her whiskey, sure to relax her shaking nerves.
-
Dorvakin soon finished his ale and decided to take a night walk with Scout. He grabbed his leash and started to walk with him.
-
Elbereth followed the path, the moonlight being her guide in the darkness. She remained silent in the lands, avoiding the searching children. ''What cruelty. The best of the best for the High Elves I supposed,'' Elbereth said, her tinted green eyes glaring towards her feet. Continuing down the path, she held her bow close and prepared herself to attack in case she came across more Dire wolves. A shiver ran down her spine as she refused to crumble underneath fear. ''This will be a long night,'' Elbereth whispered, still continuing down the path.
-
Dorvakin walked around with Scout until the dire wolf started to smell something. "What is it, boy?" Dorvakin asked. Scout started to sniff the ground and lead Dorvakin somewhere.
-
Elbereth heard the soft sounds of a Dire wolf near and grew panicked. ''May God help me,'' Elbereth whispered, hiding behind a tree. She prepared herself to attack as she slid to the ground. Her lips parted as she took small breaths. Elbereth grew restless, her heart racing and she felt nervous. She swallowed the lump in her throat tighten and pulled the hood of her cloak further downward.
-
Scout led Dorvakin to a tree and stopped. He sniffed it and Dorvakin said "Scout, if you wanted to use the bathroom, there were plenty of other trees. Unless..." He then said "Whoever or whatever is in there, come out and face me like a man."
-
Elbereth grumbled and stood from the ground. The maiden pulled her cloak's hood further down to cover her enraged eyes. ''First of all, it's whoever and I'm a woman, a High Elf at that,'' Elbereth said lifting her narrowed gaze to look at the man. ''Dorvakin,'' Elbereth hissed in disgust. ''I didn't expect to see you here, so why are you here?'' She looked downwards at the leashed Dire wolf. Her brows furrowed in anger since the attack in the morning.
-
Dorvakin recognized Elbereth and said "What does it look like? I'm walking my Dire Wolf."
-
''Seriously?'' Elbereth scoffed, her brows furrowed in anger. ''Even after killing a Dire wolf this morning?'' Elbereth questioned, her brows crossed. She heard soft footsteps in the distance growing near. The muffled shouts and lights of torches soon turning her gaze into the depths of the forest, away from light. ''I have to go,'' Elbereth whispered, inching deeper into the forest.
-
Dorvakin watched her leave and heard some footsteps. he walked towards them to see what was coming.
-
''The heiress has to be somewhere, it's all for the hunt, why couldn't she risk getting caught?'' A teen High Elf said, his brown locks and blue eyes piercing through the dark night. ''Well, she is full of herself but, I do envy her! She's gorgeous have you seen her long hair and those beautiful green eyes?'' A young maiden said, her arms clinging to the brown haired high elf. With the light of the torch the small group of youthful High Elves were sure to see around a few feet, otherwise it was utter darkness. The group didn't dare cross the Borders for they feared the wraith of Sir Olsen or King Olsen, Elbereth's father. Elbereth had made distance between herself, the torches, and Dorvakin. Sighing in relief, she took this time to sit by a tree, sipping her loving whiskey. ''Time to relax and wait for the sunrise,'' She said, her eyes casted to look at the sack of whiskey.
-
Dorvakin followed the sound of footprints and through some bushes he saw teenaged High Elves carrying torches. He saw they weren't across the borders but he still wanted to mess with them and make sure they didn't cross. He let Scout growl loudly to spook them.
-
The young maiden in the group yelped, leading the group away from the noise sure not to have the others attacked. Once the torchlight was gone from sight, soon came silence and nothing more than the adoring moonlight. Elbereth relaxed against the tree, her whiskey sack almost emptied. She was tipsy by the drink but, wasn't quite drunk. Elbereth placed her whiskey sack to the side and fumbled with her rings whilst waiting for the warmth of the sunrise.
