Kate kept writing as she heard people talking from far away.

Kate finished and limped outside to look around for berries.

Shadow followed her

Kate didn't notice Shadow following her, so she kept sniffing around for berries to help her leg. .

Kate sniffed a red berry and cringed. She limped over to a blueberry bush and started to pick a few.

Shadow tilted his head

She put them in her tiny bag and went to sniff some raspberries.

Shadow stayed behind her

Kate hummed softly, which she had never done around Shadow. She put some raspberries in her bag and kept limping around.

Kate suddenly turned around. "Gah!" Kare stopped humming and gasped. She jumped up and fell onto her back.

Shadow looked concerned "sorry, did I startle you?

Kate muttered something and shook her head. "Why'd you follow me?" She asked, softly.
