Collins blinked. ‘Uh, you okay?’ she asked, stepping back a little.

"I need to find him! They took my son!" She howled. The woman threw another rock at the building, hitting a windowsill.

‘What’s your son’s name? I don’t think he’d be around here, you can try calling the authorities to file a missing person report-‘

"his name is Xavier, he has batten disease, I know he's here! They took him from me!" The woman screamed unreasonably.

Collins froze. She looked over at Florence through the gaps in the window, then back at the woman. ‘Ah. Xavier.’

"I've been speaking with your doctors and your nurses and your automated tech support now you can tell me where my son is or I can sit and beg!" The woman said before bursting out into more sobs. The mention of Xavier made Florence a little queasy.

Collins didn’t know how to calm her down. ‘Florence!’ she called, looking back towards him. ‘Wanna, uh, come here?’

"I don't think that's a good idea..." Florence said, closer to the door. He watched the woman for a minute. She just looked the same. "The doctors lie, I know he's in your records!" The woman shouted, silently pleading Collins for help

‘I don’t think she’ll leave otherwise,’ Collins said, taking another step back. ‘Please calm down, Xavier…. is here, I just don’t think he wants to come out.’

Florence hesitantly peaked his head out. "I don't think he's here." Florence said. Something about the woman bothered him.

Collins looked between them. She hugged herself, hoping the woman would stop crying. Or just get scared of Florence and leave them alone.
