Lovino bit his lip, staring down at the paint slightly anxiously. "Are you sure?" He asked again, glancing a bit worriedly back at Antonio. But he seemed slightly distracted, so Lovino sighed softly and decided he could always come back if he needed more. "...Okay, I'm ready. Where to next?" He asked, walking towards the checkout counter and smiling politely at the young lady behind it, pulling out his wallet. -

"Um..." Antonio glanced out through the windows to see what was around, pursing his lips. There was a store across the way that seemed to have jewelry and coats and bags, and Antonio was willing to bet he could find something for both his mama and his brother in there. He nodded towards it. "How about there?" He asked. "A necklace or something for mama, and maybe a coat for Andres?" He thought out loud, biting his cheek and looking back to Lovino. -

Lovino returned to his side quickly, a bag now draped over one arm. He shyly slid his hand into Antonio's again and nodded. "That looks good. They might have something for Nonno in there too." He said with a small squeeze of his hand. "H-Hey, ba- um...Antonio?" He piped up quietly after a moment as they walked out of the first store. -

Antonio nodded, glad that they could both have some use in that store. He glanced at Lovino curiously. "Yeah?" He pulled them across the hallway quickly, the crowd of people having gotten thicker, pulling him into the store before turning back to him with a small smile. "What is it?" -

Lovino held his hand a little tighter, never a fan of large crowds, especially when it felt like if he let go of Antonio they'd lose each other. He sighed when they stepped into the store and glanced aside, blushing. "This is, um, this is n-nice. Being together like this." He admitted quietly, feeling his cheeks heat in a deeper blush. -

Antonio blinked, not really expecting that kind of statement from Lovino. It quickly morphed in a wide smile, however, his hand squeezing Lovino's quickly. "Hmm, I agree," He said quietly. He leaned to press a small kiss to Lovino's forehead, although he looked up at the gruff cough he heard. An older lady was looking at them rather angrily, and he scowled, kissing Lovino on the lips, instead, before pulling him away to a different part of the store. "What did you want to get for your abuelo?" He asked, glancing around, keeping his hand tightly around Lovino's. -

Lovino felt like a deer caught in headlights for a moment with the way the woman was glaring at them, but the lips on his quickly reassured him. He giggled, waving sweetly at the woman as Antonio dragged him off, much to her obvious annoyance. He tilted his head and looked around curiously. "Hmm...I'm not sure. You don't have to babysit me the whole time though, if you want to go look at the jewelry I'll find something for the old b------." He answered with a small shrug. He noticed a book store across the way and decided that maybe he would wait and look there. Roma was always droning on about old history, especially Ancient Rome, he was sure he could find something about it. -

Antonio nodded. "Alright, that sounds okay." He said, squeezing Lovino's hand once more before letting go. "I'll just look over there. I shouldn't take that long if it's longer than you." Antonio was never super fussy about buying things, and he never took an extremely long time. He could already see some necklaces that would work for his mom, and a jacket in the corner that looked like it would suit his brother nicely. Then it would be only Lovino left, and he wasn't quite sure he'd get away with buying him something today. -

Lovino nodded and wandered over a small CD rack by the corner of the store. He browsed through them, surprised to see the variety. There was of course whatever boy band and young female singers that were popular now, but digging back a little deeper he found an unexpected Spanish CD. He thought briefly about getting it as part of his gift for Antonio, but in the end decided to put it back. For all he knew it could've been Spanish heavy metal, and that didn't really seem to suit his happy-go-lucky boyfriend. "That's disgusting, you know." A voice sounded behind him. Lovino rolled his eyes and set the case down, knowing without turning that it was the lady from before. "What, your attitude? Yeah, it is." He responded dryly, trying to sound disinterested. -

Antonio occupied himself with the case of jewelry, quickly finding something simple and nice to suit his mom. She'd never liked very extravagant things, and it worked well for her. He had a bit harder of a time with the jacket, having to dig to the very back of the racks to find on that would fit his brother, wincing slightly at the price. He would still have enough to buy Lovino the pencils or something else, and maybe something small extra, so he went to pay anyways, thanking the cashier politely as he headed back to the front of the store to find Lovino. -

"...and I don't understand what makes you think that's acceptable in public!" Lovino sighed, wishing she would just shut up and leave. He was relieved when he saw Antonio approaching, and grinned widely at the lady. "Go to hell," he said, as he walked up to pull Antonio down into a firm kiss. "Let's go," he murmured, linking his arm with Antonio's. -

Antonio frowned when he saw the lady from earlier, appearing to be scolding Lovino, who looked rather irritated. His eyes widened slightly when Lovino kissed him, although he hummed happily, his eyes shutting for a moment before Lovino pulled away. The woman was shooting daggers at them as Lovino hooked his arm through his. Antonio nodded, glaring right back as they left the store. He sighed as they got back to the hall. "Alright," He murmured, glancing around. "Let's find someplace without cranky old ladies." -

Lovino was all too eager to agree, though the crowded hallway didn't seem like the best option either. Clearly they weren't the only ones trying to get Christmas shopping done.s--- I just realized I assumed you celebrated Christmas?? that was really rude of me ahh sorry sorryLovino pressed closer to Antonio as they weaved their way through the crowd, flinching when a larger man shoved him aside so hard his arm slipped out of Antonio's and he fell with a yelp, panic seizing him for a moment. -

Antonio gave a small gasp when Lovino fell away from him, another small woman glaring at him when he went to pull him up, gripping his hand tightly and pulling him to the edge of the crowd where it was slightly thinner. He let out a deep breath, squeezing his hand. "Let's just get something to eat," he proposed weakly, glancing to see if he could spy anywhere to stop nearby. "Maybe the crowd will thin out a little while we're busy." -

Lovino latched onto his arm, taking a deep breath, nodding quietly. He'd lost sight of Antonio completely for a moment and that had scared him more than actually falling. He was relieved when he caught him again and was worried about seeming too clingy, but also too nervous to let go of him just yet. "f---, s-sorry," he murmured, clutching his bag tightly in one arm and Antonio's own arm in the other.
