Antonio shook his head. "'S not your fault," he murmured, tightening his arm likewise around Lovino's, not wanting to lose him again. There was a small circle of restaurants at the end of the hall, and Antonio pulled Lovino carefully towards them. He ducked into the first one they got to, taking another breath. It was a small cafe type place, and Antonio looked at Lovino sheepishly. "Is this alright?" He asked quietly, glancing back out to the crowd. -

Lovino nodded, taking another deep breath, fine with any place as long as it wasn't quite so crowded. "Did you get what you needed?" He asked, sitting down at a small two-person table by the corner and watching him curiously, still not having any idea of what he might want. He could just ask, but he'd probably end up embarrassing himself, so he kept quiet as he picked up a little menu. -

Antonio nodded, holding up the bag with the jacket and the necklace. He sat down across from Lovino, pulling the jacket halfway out to show him before dropping the bag next to the table and picking up a menu as well. "Did you find anything else?" It hadn't seemed like Lovino had left the store, but he couldn't be sure. "Did that woman badger you too much?" -

Lovino nodded at the jacket, surprised that Antonio had managed to find something so stylish. He shook his head next and shrugged. "No, but whatever. That little bookstore across looked good, I'll find something for Nonno there." He replied, ordering a coffee when a waiter came by. "...Maybe we should split up after this. Can't get you anything if you're f---ing on too of me all the time." He suggested, wincing at how harsh that had sounded. -

Antonio raised an eyebrow, looking back at the menu with a small sigh. He ordered a coffee as well, turning back to Lovino. "Alright," He snorted, "I thought we are supposed to be together on a date, but alright." He shook his head, giving a small smile. "But actually, that's okay. I want to get something for you, too." He could go buy the pencils he'd seen Lovino eyeing, and he'd seen a jacket that could work, as well. Lovino wasn't wearing one now, which he found rather ridiculous when it was snowing. Maybe he'd get that one early. -

Lovino but his lip, glancing down at the menu, suddenly feeling a but stupid. "O-Oh, you're right, I-I mean, um, s-sorry," he stammered, relieved at Antonio's reassurance. "We can meet back up here in an hour?" He suggested in a small voice. There was a sporting goods store somewhere, he could probably get him a soccer ball or something, although he'd have to get more that that... His eyes flitted over the menu, not really reading it, as he thought about what else there might be that Antonio would like. -

Antonio nodded. "That doesn't sound like a problem." He agreed, smiling back down at the menu, giving a small thanks when the waiter came back with two small cups of coffee. He was a little intrigued to see what Lovino could have in store, wondering what his plan was. The stores Antonio wanted to check for Lovino were close by, so he'd probably have time to spare. But they both had their phones, so that didn't matter much. -

Lovino allowed himself to smile back for a brief second. He thanked the waiter as well, quickly taking a sip of the steaming liquid. It was a bit too hot, but Lovino was starting to regret his tendency to forget to dress properly for the weather. "I'm not too hungry, I might just get some soup or a salad or something." He said softly, enjoying the soft music playing through the little cafe. He was suddenly stricken with another idea, an embarrassing one, but a good one nonetheless. It wasn't something he could buy in a store though.

"Ah, same here." Antonio gave a chagrined smile. "Maybe we should have waited a little longer to eat. That's alright." When the waiter came back by he just ordered a small cup of soup, folding the menu back up with a small sigh. It was a lot quieter in the cafe than out in the main part of the mall, and it was nice to just sit with Lovino. The waiter brought back their food rather quickly, and he picked at his food, glancing back up at Lovino. "Definitely nicer than the hospital, huh?" He teased. -

Lovino ordered the same thing Antonio did, murmuring a small thanks as the waiter set the bowls down. "Mm, well, at least the hospital didn't have halls full of angry old people." He responded with a small huff. "But...it's nice in here." He shrugged and set his menu down too, glancing up at Antonio across the table. They had time while they were eating, so they may as well talk. "...What are you thinking for college?" He asked softly. -

Antonio looked down at the table at the unexpectedly serious question, frowning slightly. "I don't know," He mumbled. "I've got scholarships for soccer, but..." He sighed, shaking his head and biting his lip. "I've haven't picked any place yet." And then it occurred to him that they could end up across the country from one another, and he felt slightly sick to his stomach. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to go, and the thought of not being able to see Lovino on top of that was doubly upsetting, although he made sure nothing came through in his expression. Instead he managed a small smile. "There's still some time, I guess." -

Lovino nodded, hoping he hadn't made the conversation too depressing. "...That's cool. You're really good, when you're not collapsing on the field." He teased lightly, sipping at his soup. "I...uh, I want to go to art school, but I've never really done anything with my art, so I doubt I'd get in. I've thought about being a doctor or something, but I've had my fill of hospitals I think..." He admitted with a shrug. "I'm not sure about anything yet." He shrugged slightly. Roma was always lecturing him about how graduation was coming closer with every day and he'd need to set up his future, but Lovino didn't even know what he wanted to do. -

Antonio shook his head, smiling crookedly down into his bowl. "I guess we're in the same boat, then, huh?" He murmured, giving a small sigh. He took a few spoonfuls of the soup, although the semi-depressing conversation and hot temperature made it rather tasteless in his mouth. "You're a really good artist," He said finally, looking back up at Lovino earnestly. "I think you could do it, if you really wanted to. If it's something you enjoy I think you should try." It was nice that Lovino had something he wanted to go to school for. Antonio thought back to the sketches of himself in Lovino's book, and felt his face flush slightly, quickly looking back down and taking another drink of coffee.
