Lovino's expression softened and he reached across the table to take one of Antonio's hands. "...Maybe I will." He mumbled softly, managing a small smile. "You'll figure it out too, stupid, don't look so sad." He added, squeezing his hand. It wasn't often that Antonio let Lovino see him anything but happy, so it was a little upsetting that he looked so lost at the mention of college. "Um, uh, y-you're eighteen already, right?" He asked, trying to change the subject. -

Antonio nodded his head sheepishly. "Yeah. I turned eighteen last month." He said. He squeezed his hand back, smiling slightly. "Why, do I seem so old to you?" He teased. He was certainly taller than Lovino, but it was mostly teasing. "You're still seventeen, right?" He hummed slightly, tilting his head and considering Lovino, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Hm, if we're judging based on height..." He grinned evilly. -
ahh I'm glad, it makes me kind of sad that you don't usually celebrate I promise when we're together I'll take you out wherever you want and I'm sorry I can't do that now
Lovino laughed and nodded. "That's why I asked, you old man." He chuckled and poked him. "Yeah, I'm seventeen." At the height comment he bristled, scowling and blushing indignantly. "H-Hey, I'm not that short!" -

Antonio raised an brow, rolling his eyes. "Alright, you keep telling yourself that, carino." He laughed. He pulled Lovino's hand up to his lips, kissing his knuckles with a small smirk. "Not that you're short," he mused, pursing his lips, "I think that you're the perfect height. Just that the perfect height it a little on the short side." -

"Tch," Lovino rolled his eyes. "Maybe you're just tall, a--hole." He replied, but he was grinning as he said it. He blushed as Antonio pressed a kiss to his hand, glancing down for a moment in flustered embarrassment. "Q-Quit being so stupidly sweet, b------, you'll alert the old people." He muttered teasingly, smiling despite trying not to. -

Antonio laughed. He watched Lovino's face go pink appreciatively, grinning widely. "Oh no, whatever shall we do?" He said in mock horror, rolling his eyes. He smirked, nipping at Lovino's skin once instead of kissing, before leaning carefully over the table to peck him on the lips. "I think we can take a few bigoted old pendejos, amor." He murmured, sitting back into his seat again. The move actually had gotten him glares from a bitter looking couple across the restaurant, and he flashed them a wide, toothy smile. The woman snorted, turning away, her husband sneering before turning back to his meal. -

Lovino blushed darker at the quick little bite, thinking back to the mark on his neck and feeling slightly mortified when he realized he'd been walking around with a very visible hickey all day. However, he couldn't bring himself to complain, especially not when Antonio leaned over the table to kiss him. Lovino couldn't help but laugh softly when he grinned at the older couple, squeezing his hand gently and trying to finish his soup without giggling too much. "You're such an ass," he muttered, smiling. "Now quit making a scene, or I'm buying you underwear for Christmas." -

Antonio laughed. "Hmmm, but I'm your ass." He pointed out with a crooked grin, pushing his empty bowl away and sighing. He raised an eyebrow at the vague threat, smirking again. "Mm, only if you take it off, too." He teased, very much enjoying the vivid blush that had spread over Lovino's face. But he sat back, rubbing small circles into the back of Lovino's hand with his thumb, giving a small sigh. It was nice, just sitting in the cafe like this, teasing Lovino and embarrassing the mean old couples and enjoying hot food while it was snowing outside. "Ti amo," he murmured, taking a small sip of his coffee, his eyes closing momentarily. "Te adoro, tesoro." -

Lovino wrinkled his nose, laughing. "My ass? If you're my ass then...you had sex with yourself?" He giggled, blushing darker at his next comment. "Pff, shut up, I mean girly underwear. I mean Victoria's Secret, pink lace. That's what you'll be getting." His laughter quieted, but he was still smiling softly as Antonio closed his eyes. "...I love you," he murmured back in response, suddenly wishing their wasn't a table between them. -

Antonio hummed quietly, squeezing Lovino's hand and smiling gently. He paused, before pulling away just long enough to pull enough money to pay for their meal out of his wallet, dropping it on the table and taking Lovino's hand again, grabbing his bag and tugging him out of his chair. He stepped closer, and kissed him gently, not out of spite for the bigots or teasing, just wanting to able to have that right then. He heard a small grunt from the couple and blatantly ignored it, pulling away to press a kiss to Lovino's nose. "Are you done?" He murmured quietly. "I want to go get you your present." He smiled crookedly. "Promise it won't be underwear." -

Lovino opened his mouth to protest and say that he'd pay, but didn't get the chance as he was pulled to his feet into a kiss. He sighed softly, hugging him a little closer for a few moments, ignoring the angry muttering of the old couple. A little dazed when he pulled away, Lovino nodded, face flushed and heart beating a bit faster. "Y-Yeah, yeah," he bit his lip and nodded, grabbing his bag again. "Back here in an hour, okay?" He reminded, leaning up on his toes to kiss him before slipping our of the cafe. -

Antonio sighed, but shot the old couple one last wicked grin before heading back out in the direction of the art store. When he slipped inside and found his way over to the table of pencils, he was glad to see an employee standing nearby. He asked which ones were the nicest, and couldn't help but cringe a bit at the price tag. But he took them up to the counter anyways, silently mourning his wallet as he handed over the payment. The only thing left was to grab Lovino a jacket, before he froze to death. That one he could have early. He went into the store he'd spied earlier, finding the jacket that he'd noticed. He eyeballed it, deciding that it looked like it was Lovino's size, before taking it up to the counter, too. He sighed as he forked over the cash, knowing he'd have a hard time explaining such purchases to his mother when he had to ask for gas money. He sent a quick text to Lovino. 'I'm finished, I'll be by the cafe.' -

Lovino took a bit longer, having to turn back to the bookstore to get some old books for Roma before shopping for Antonio. After that, he went to the sporting goods store, finding a red soccer ball that seemed more than appropriate to go along with Antonio's constant comments about his blushing. He checked out with his arms full of bags and headed back to the cafe, keeping the soccer ball hidden and deciding he could work out the rest of his gift later. He was pleased to find Antonio already there. "Hey, b------, done already?" -

Antonio smiled at the sight of Lovino, nodding at the question. "S," He reached into one of the bags, pulling out the jacket. "And see if this fits. I figured you could have this early, if it'll keep you from freezing to death on the way to the car." It looked like it would fit, and seemed to suit Lovino quite well, although he still hoped that he would approve. "But you'll have to wait for the other one. You won't die if you don't get that one now." He raised an eyebrow at Lovino's not very weather appropriate clothing, smirking crookedly. -

Lovino pursed his lips, staring wide-eyes at the jacket. "Y-You bought this for me..?" He blushed almost immediately, shocked and touched and embarrassed about wearing a t-shirt in December. He examined the jacket, knowing that it must've been expensive, before slipping it on. The sleeves were a bit long, but otherwise it fit very comfortably. "...G-Grazie," he sfammered after a moment, still a little surprised that Antonio had even noticed he needed a jacket.
