Some of the guests started dancing as music played. Riley stood watching the guests dance.

Calanthe walked down the stairs with Artemis by her side. "Calanthe, You have a special father daughter dance. So get ready" Mother said. Calanthe sighed and nodded with a big smile on her face.

Riley was approached by a small blonde haired girl.
"What are you doing here, Karai?" he mumbled pulling her aside.
"I'm just back up, calm down.The Queen sent me, now if you don't mind"
She pulled her ar away and walked off. Riley rubbed his temple and sighed. -
Mother Eavan cleared her throat to make an announcement. "Attention, attention! We are now gonna start the Father, Daughter dance. Please a hand to King Aegeus and Princess Calanthe!" Queen Eavan announced. Everyone clapped as Calanthe and King Aegeus started to dance.

Riley clapped as he watched the King and Princess. His eyes sparkled lightly as he watched her.

After 3 minutes of dancing with her father, They stopped and made another toast to Calanthe birthday tomorrow. Everyone started dancing and Calanthe walked to her mom and said "I'm gonna go back upstairs, I feel awkward right now.". "Okay hunny." Mother Eavan Says.

Riley walked over to Calanthe and her parents and bowed slightly. "Your majesty." He turned the princess and held out a hand "May I have this dance?" he asked slightly hopeful.

Calanthe smiled and decided to stay. She placed her hand in his and they walked and started to dance. "Wow, your a good dancer." Calanthe said smiling.

Riley smiled. "So are you" he said. He spun her around, and back to normal position. "You don't like large crowds like this, huh? I saw you trying to retreat"

Calanthe smiled and was impressed by Riley's move. "I don't like the attention getting drawn to me." Calanthe said. "So you've been watching me? Like a spy?" Calanthe whispered for guards not to hear.

Riley chuckled lightly. "I guess you could say that, but my job is protecting you not gathering intel" he whispered back.

"Protecting me? I have 100 of guards surrounding this palace." Calanthe said. "Not to be rude but from what?".

Riley's face hardened slightly "They can't protecting from something they don't know exists, Princess." He kissed her cheek and walked away. Karai raised an eyebrow at him and he mentally flipped her off.

Calanthe was confused but was shocked of the feeling on her cheek. She watched as he flipped someone off. "What the?". "Who did he flip off?" Calanthe thought.

Riley stopped, realizing he couldn't leave and turned around. He scanned the crowd again, but still found no danger. He crossed his arms in front of him and kept an eye on the Princess.
