Calanthe patted Freddy. She smiled and wondered how he got into her room. She put Freddy next to Artemis and started to sing out loud. Artemis and Freddy listened while she sang looking at the stars and thinking of Riley which brought a smile to Calanthe's face.

Riley heard Calanthe singing and his heart sped up slightly. He thought her voice was amazing. He looked over from his hideout and saw her on the balcony.

Freddy made some gestures but I couldn't understand. "If only you could talk to me, that would be much easier, but that would be crazy." Calanthe said laughing.

Bells went off, signally that it was Midnight and Calanthe was offically 16.
Freddy made a happy noise "You should be able to hear us now!" Freddy exclaimed.
Riley looked over at where the bells came from. He smiled "Well Princess, you're 16 now. Lets see what ya got" he thought -
Calanthe got up and looked at Freddy and Artemis. "Hello Princess. It's so good to talk to you." Artemis said. Calanthe fainted.

Riley teleported and caught her jut in time. "Woah there, Princess. Can't be hurting yourself on your birthday now can you?"

"What the? Riley?". She was confused and scared. "What is going on?" She asked looking at Riley, Freddy and Artemis.

"You just turned 16, so some of your powers activated. That's why you can understand them." he said helping her sit down.

"Powers? I'm really going crazy. Wake me up! Someone?"Calanthe said as she tried pinching her skin to wake herself up.

"You're not dreaming, Princess. I kind of wish you were..." he sat next to her. "When you were born, to your birth mother Queen Roa, her sister turned evil with jealousy. She created an army and vowed to destroy you ad everyone around you. The Queen loved you very much, so she had you sent here. The men who chased us earlier were part of Roa's sister's army, they call themselves 'The Darkness'. They're sent to kill you. That's why I have to protect you, you're not like other people, Princess. You're a Nature Sprite."

"My mother is Queen Eavan!" Calanthe said with some anger in her voice. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude." She said. She can't believe something like that would happen to her.

"It's alright, Princess Calanthe. I understand this is hard to grasp." he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "But please.." he ligjtly touched her arm "just hear me out. I can answer all your questions now."

"So that means I'm gonna die today?" She asked. A tear ran down her face. She felt weak, "Why does this havto happen on my birthday?" She thought looking at Artemis. "Please Princess, don't cry. Everything's gonna beokay. I promise." Artemis says.

Riley wiped the tear from her face. "Princess, you're not going to die. I told you I would protect you and I mean that. And I'm here to teach you to use your powers, and to defend yourself" Riley said, reassuringly.

She sighed and nodded her head. "Okay." She sighed and looked at Artemis and then Riley. "I'm sorry you had to see me like this. This is why I don't like the attention." She said.
