She smiled and hugged him. She was so excited. "Okay, I promise! When I get home, straight to bed." She said.

Riley chuckled at her and stood up, picking her up. "Brace yourself" he said and closed his eyes. Around them was just pure white, with a small whistling sound. "We are the wind" Riley whispered to her with a smile. Then they were inside of a large palace.

"Woah. That was fast! Woaah,mthis palace is beautiful.". Calanthe looked around and saw a lot of beautiful art work. "What is this place?" Calanthe asked looking excited.

"This would be my quarters" A woman called, with a bright smile.
Riley bowed "Your majesty."
Roa scoffed, "Riley you don't have to bow"
Riley smiled big "I know I don't have to" he looked at Calanthe. "Princess, this is your mother, Queen Roa."
The queen looked like an older version of Calanthe, except with brown eyes. -
Calanthe smiled at Riley. Calanthe looked at the woman who was her mother. "Your Majesty! It's a pleasure to finally meet you after 16 years." Calanthe said as she curtsey.

Roa hugged her. She didn't really care for formalities and had missed her daughter more than anything.
Riley smiled brightly. When his mother passed, Roa had almost been like a second mother to him. -
Calanthe cried as to be embrace by her biological mother. "I'm so happy to meet you." Calanthe said as shelet go of Queen Roa. Calnthe looked at Riley and hugged him too, for taking her to see her real mother.

Riley smiled and wrapped his arms around her. He blushed when he realized the Queen was right there and let go.
Roa smirked a little at them, knowingly. -
Calanthe wiped away her tears and asked Queen Roa "Will I come back to live with you?". Calanthe had a feeling that they answer would be no but she took a shot at it.

Roa smiled sadly at her. "One day, if you want to. But right now, no. You're safer somewhere else" she said.
Riley watched them as he glanced arond. There probably wasn't any danger in here but it was a habit. -
"I'll be safer somewhere else? Do you know what happened yesterday?" Calanthe asked as she looked at her mother with concern in her eyes.

Roa nodded. "I know, but that's why Riley is with you. The Darkness attacks here all the time. You've only been attacked twice. Riley is my best guardian, he won't let anything happen to you" she said.
Riley nodded and smiled lightly at 'my best guardian'. Pride filled his chest. -
"I know that but I wanna be with my mother and not with some other people that I'm not even related to." Calanthe said. She felt like breaking down.
She looked at Riley, then Queen Roa. "I just wanna be with my mother" She said before running ot of the palace into the woods.
Tears ran down her face as she looked where to run. -
