"If that's what it takes to keep you safe." he said and dropped his hand from her face. He thought she looked breath taking under the moonlight

She smiled and hugged Riley. "Thank you so much." She said. She kissed his cheek and looked back at the view.

Riley blushed lightly when she kissed his cheek and he felt sparks run through him. He shook his head and ran a hair through his hair. "You don't need to thank me" he said with a small smile.

She giggled and blushed. "Yes I do, You saved me and your protecting me from whatever. You deserve a thank you." Calanthe said smiling.

Riley smiled and shook his head. "Alright, if you say so" he said with a chuckle. He liked the sound of her laugh.

She laughed and smiled. "Isn't the view amazing?" Calanthe asked. She looked at him and smiled. "He's so cute" She thought.

He looked at her "Yeah, the view is beautiful" he said, but he wasn't talking about the view of the land. He smiled when his eyes locked with hers and he felt little shocks go through him.

She smiled and blushed while looking away. Her heart was about to fall out her chest when they looked in eachothers eyes. She felt nervous.

Riley's nerves were on edge as he looked at her but he willed them to quiet down. He leaned in closer to Calanthe, as his eyes sparkled.

Artemis roared to interrupt them. Calanthe cleared her throat and went back inside. She felt awkward once again. She sat on her bed and pat Artemis.

Riley shook his head "Stupid! You have to focus on keeping her safe" he thought to himself. "I think it's time for me to go" he said, feeling awkward. "I'll be back tomorrow, Princess" He said and disappeared.

Calanthe didn't want him to leave. She felt like herself with him there. She changed into her night gown and laid in bed. "Why does he have to be so handsome?" Calanthe asked to Artemis. Artemis purred as Calanthe groomed him.

Riley had his head in his hands, while at his normal spot. He was petting Freddy the bunny. "How could I have been so dumb, Fred. She's the Princess, and I'm her guardian. I can't let feelings get in the way" The bunny made a diagreeing noise. Riley chuckled lightly at him. "Alright, off you go. Let me know if anything is off" Riley said and Freddy hopped to the palace.

Calanthe sighed as she looked at the ceiling. She got up and went back outside through the silk curtains. Artemis followed. Calanthe hummed her song that helps her stay calm. "I think I have feeling for Riley, Artemis." She says staring out into the trees. Artemis roared as to speak to Calanthe. She sat down on the ground and looked into her room, remembering the moment that Riley was there.

Freddy hopped into Calanthe's lap and tried to make hand gestures, pointing to the spot where Riley had stood.
Riley looked up at the stars as he thought about Calanthe's smile. This, brought a smile to his own face.
