Saphirre pulled away, suddenly looking quite upset. "He knew they would do something and he let them?! Why wasn't he here to protect you?"
-
She looked at the ground ashamed. "He...he disappeared after you were born and...I didn't listen to his warning..." she then felt guilty for not listening to her husband's warning.
-
Saphirre looked down. "I'm so sorry..." She clenched her hands into fists and glared at the ground. "I hate those scientists. I hate them."
-
She waved her hands and hugged Saphirre. "Dear it's their fault and whoever hired them to do this horrible job..." she mumbled lightly. "I'm going to try and leave little bird."
-
Saphirre looked up her, her hands falling back to her sides. "You are? You said they wouldn't let you." She was glad that Zoey was going to try and leave but at the same time she was worried about what might happen to her if they refused.
-
Zoey smiled lightly. "My dear sweet little bird, I like your father have a very sneaky way of getting out of things." She heard Saphirre's stomach growl and she chuckled, breaking the serious tension.
-
Saphirre smiled. Hearing Zoey's stomach growling she laughed apologetically. "I'd cook you something, but I still don't know what half the things in the kitchen do..."
-
She shook her head lightly. "I'm a terrible cook dear so you'd take after me." She started walking to a vast kitchen. "So I usually have someone cook for meand get my groceries."
-
Saphirre nodded, that did make sense. "Daniel showed me how to make spaghetti, but that's about all I know now..."
-
She pulled out what looked like a fancy sandwich out of the fridge with another one to go with it. She pulled out a bottle of wine but stopped. "Silly me I... forgot you were underage..."
-
Saphirre tilted her head and studied the bottle. "What is it?" She asked curiously, admiring the dark rich color of the strange liquid in the bottle.
-
"It's wine, but you're not able to drink it because you're not 21." She placed it back into the fridge.
-
"Why not? Is it dangerous?" She asked quickly, still glancing curiously at the fridge.
-
She shook her head lightly. "It's not really..bad for you dear. Just following the law."
-
"If it's not bad then why is there a law?" She asked, sounding a bit like a chicks asking all these questions. She blushed lightly, realizing that this was probably another thing she should already know.
