Zoey laughed lightly and shook her head. "When you were in me as a baby, what I remembered I had cravings for weird things and alot of chocolate." She smiled lightly. "Your uncle will be here soon."

"Mmm, chocolate is good. I can see why you'd crave something like that." She laughed lightly. "I don't remember any weird cravings but I didn't get much of a say in what I ate at the lab anyway." When Zoey mentioned her uncle she perked up and smiled, eager to finally meet him.

She nodded lightly and heard her front door open, seeing the little pit jump off Saphirre's lap as it barked. He shot to where the door opened. David walked into the living room holding the pit. He had blonde hair like both of the girls and bright green eyes. He was dressed in army clothes and he blinked lightly at Saphirre and then to Zoey. "When did you invent a time machine Zoey...?"

Saphirre, out of habit around new people, folded her wings tightly against her back and tried to keep them mostly out of sight. She glanced at Zoey, a little unsure of how to act.

Zoey laughed at her brother's comment and stood up. "David, this is my daughter, Saphirre." She smiled at her brother when he placed the pit down on the ground and picked Saphirre up off her chair, hugging her.

Saphirre blinked lightly at his warm greeting and tentativley hugged him back with a small smile. "It's nice to meet you."

He blinked lightly and looked her over. "Wow...you look like Zoey when she was younger, but your nose looks like Samuel's." he ruffled her hair lightly and glanced at Zoey.

Saphirre blinked again at how he noticed the slight difference between there noses. She tried to smooth down her hair and smiled, already taking a liking to the man.

He walked over to his sister and hugged her gently. "I'll see you after the tour alright sis?" She nodded lightly and hugged him back, watching him leave the living room and out the door. She sighed lightly and shook her head.

Saphirre watched Zoey. "What's wrong? Where does his...tour go?"
She asked, again a little confused. -
"It's army talk for going overseas...he goes to foreign countries and helps protect them." She mumbled lightly.

"Oh," Saphirre glanced back at the way he'd left. "That's very brave of him." She said softly.

"Your father did the same thing...and one day he never came back. They say he is missing in action and said he was probably dead..." she sighed lightly and hugged herself.

Saphirre hugged her again. "He is brave too then." She said quietly. "And I'm sure he didn't mean to leave you."

"No something went wrong." She frowned lightly. "Something David isn't telling me and I hate it." Her features then softened and she slowly hugged her back gently. "He didn't mean to leave you either little bird. He knew that the lab would do something to me while I was pregnant..."
