Saphirre hesitantly went to the window and peered out. "Do you have many neighbors?" She asked. She hadn't flown in what seemed like forever and her wings ached to work again.
-
Zoey glanced up and shook her head. "No little bird. This is a secluded area, but..." she looked at her. "Do you...want to fly?"
Hey it's Anri, just another account. :3) -
Okie dokie~)
Saphirre pressed her fingertips lightly against the window and gazed longingly out at the sky. "Yes..." She murmured. "It's been so long.." -
She stood up and opened two of the windows outwards. "Then fly." She smiled lightly, all the anger gone from her system.
-
Saphirre smiled eagerly and practically leapt out the windows. She got a running start before flapping her wings powerfully. The force lifted her off the ground. She smiled and flew higher and higher, until the house looked small. She suddenly turned down and swan-dived towards the ground, her wings folded back, letting out a laugh of pure joy. At the last second they snapped open again and lifted her away from the ground. She touched down, still grinning and laughing. It was the most amazing feeling.
-
Zoey leaned against one of the window frames, smiling lightly at her daughter's antics. Finding her and Daniel unclothed in the apartments living room had shocked her a bit, maybe even scared her.
-
Saphirre glided back over to the window and peered in. She wondered if Zoey's wings were large enough to carry her, although one of them was injured, so she probably wouldn't be able to fly either way.
-
She waved lightly and walked back into the house, sitting back down on her chair and watching from afar.
-
Saphirre could've gone on flying forever. She dipped and turned and looped and spiraled through the air, her almost-constant laughter filled with glee. After her while though, her wings began to tire. She landed softly and started back towards the house, feeling considerably more happy than that morning.
-
Zoey saw she was coming back and she sighed lightly. Her wing still hurt like hell and she could only fly for a little bit. She stood up and glanced at the fireplace, a folded flag and a few metals were on the mantal. She mumbled lightly. "She's just like you, you know that?"
-
Saphirre stepped into the house and saw Zoey. She followed her gaze to the fireplace and saw the flag and medals. She looked at them, slightly confused, not positive what they were. But the way Zoey stared at them made Saphirre realize they probably belonged to someone who wasn't around anymore.
-
Zoey blinked back some tears and jumped when she saw Saphirre had come in. She covered her heart and sighed lightly. "Done flying dear?" She smiled lightly.
-
Saphirre nodded, walking over to stand beside Zoey. "Who's things?" She asked softly, gesturing to the flag. She looked at Zoey slightly worried, seeing the tears in her eyes.
-
Zoey sighed lightly and reached for a locket around her neck. She opened the circle revealing a man in his mid-twenties with a younger Zoey on his arm. "These were your..." she mumbled the last word. "Father's things..."
-
Saphirre gasped softly and stared down at the locket, at the picture of the happy couple. Zoey's tone made it all too clear that her father was no longer alive. "I'm sorry.." She mumbled softly.
