He came back with a spoon and a bottle of medicine. He poured the purple medicine onto the spoon and sat her up, holding it near her mouth. "Bottoms up." He smiled.
-
She eyed the medicine questionably, a little wary of accepting the unknown substance. But Daniel's smile made her relax a little and she opened her mouth.
-
He placed the spoon in her mouth and tilted it, making the medicine go down her throat. "It supposedly taste like grapes but...I rarely get sick so I don't remember." He chuckled.
-
She swallowed it quickly and blinked, almost expecting the drug to do some horrible thing to her. But when nothing bad happened she got a little less tense. "Thanks."
-
He kissed her forehead gently. "You're welcome Saphirre." He slipped his shirt off and slid under the covers with her, unplugging his alarm clock.
-
She blushed slightly and sat up. "I should get to the couch. In case Erin comes in." She said. Sleeping snuggled up against Daniel sounded perfect at the moment, but she didn't want to risk anything.
-
He made her lay back and smiled at her. "I said I'm taking the couch Saphirre, you just sleep in here." He turned off his alarm clock and walked out of the room, turning off the lights. "Good night."
-
She sighed but relented with a nod, snuggling back into the blankets. "Good night Daniel." She said with a little smile, closing her eyes and starting to fall asleep.
-
He grabbed a spare blanket and curled up in the couch, wishing he slept in his room with Saphirre, but he didn't mind really she was sick and didn't want her to worry about him. He sighed lightly, remembering how uncomfortable the couch was.
-
Saphirre tossed around a little, feeling a little guilty for taking the bed. But soon enough she drifted off, fast asleep.
-
He soon fell asleep, in an uncomfortable position on the couch. No dream came to him, just blank white fuzzy.
-
Saphirre woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. She hadn't had one since Daniel found her, but this time was different. Rather than dreaming about the lab as she usually did, it was the three men from the shop. They all held guns, but they weren't pointed at her. She turned and gasped. Daniel stood behind her, bound to a chair. The guns were aiming for him. Saphirre watched, petrified and terrified as they pulled the triggers. She jumped awake to the sound of gunshots, shrieking slightly.
-
Daniel and Erin shot up when they heard a shriek come from his room. Daniel bolted up and ran to the room before Erin even opened the door. He saw Saphirre sitting up on his bed and he walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her gently. Erin walked in near the doorway and saw him whispering to her gently that everything was fine. She blinked lightly at her brother's actions.
-
Saphirre clung to Daniel and sobbed quietly. She held on to to him as though if she let go he would disappear. She closed her eyes and tried to forget the dream, the sound of the gunshots...
-
He kept hugging her and kissed her forehead gently, still whispering everything was okay and alright. Erin winced lightly, seeing her cry into her brother's arms. He wasn't kidding about how she came from somewhere bad. She soon felt guilt build up in her throat as she watched them.
