She wrapped her arms around his neck and tried to calm down. "D-Daniel..." She started to cry again. "T-They...t-they were going to sh-shoot y-you." She stammered out, trembling slightly. She completely forgotten that her wings were totally visible.
-
Erin was in complete shock seeing the wings, but stayed quiet near the door. She didn't want them to know she was there and she hid a bit more. He hugged her tighter. "Saphirre, it's fine. I'm alright and I didn't get shot. Everything is fine."
-
She took a deep breath and slowly stopped shaking. She pulled away and wiped her eyes. "S-Sorry for waking you up. I'm s-sorry." She leaned into him and sniffed. "It just...it seemed so real, and they were aiming right at y-you."
-
Erin backed up and went back to her room, ready to question Saphirre and be a bit nicer tomorrow. He held her close to him and nuzzled her neck. "It's alright, the couch was uncomfortable anyways. I was half awake." He grinned. "Besides, dreams are dreams. That's all they can be unless they truly become reality. That will never happen."
-
She nodded, a little comforted by his words. "Right." She suddenly froze, before groaning softly. "I probably woke Erin up..." She murmured. If she'd hated Saphirre before...
-
He chuckled lightly. "She's a heavy sleeper, if I remember correctly." He kissed her temple gently and hugged her, yawning lightly. He mumbled lightly and soon started to fall asleep, holding onto her.
-
She nodded and layed down beside him. She sighed lightly but was hesitant to fall back asleep after her nightmare. She decided she would just stay up for the night. It couldn't be that hard.
-
After and hour his eyes opened slightly, in a sleepy haze he saw she was still awake. "Saphirre...I'm here now and everything will be okay." He leaned over and kissed her forehead half awake and soon started to go back to sleep, hugging her close to him.
-
She smiled and kissed his forehead gently. "I know." She watched him fall back asleep. He was barely conscious when he'd noticed her still awake, so she'd be fine for the rest of the night. She layed still in his arms and tried not to move or disturb him.
-
He mumbled lightly into her neck as he was asleep and still held her close. He probably guessed she didn't want to sleep now, but he stayed quiet a out it and hey he was half asleep.
-
She sighed and snuggled close to him, determined not to fall asleep. She looked at his relaxed face and smiled slightly. She felt so safe in his arms.
-
A few hours later morning came and Daniel was still asleep, not that it bothered him, just he really should have plugged in his alarm clock again.
Erin was already up and messing around in the kitchen, seeing what she could make for herself. She still was a bit curiously of last night, seeing wings on the girl. -
Saphirre, seeing that it was morning, rose and slipped out of the bed as quietly as possible. She grabbed Daniel's jacket from the corner of the room and slipped it on, in case Erin was awake. She stepped into the kitchen.
-
Erin had a piece of toast covered in grape jelly hanging from her mouth when she saw Saphirre exit her brother's room wearing a jacket. She frowned lightly, wanting to inspect the wings she saw the other night.
-
Saphirre saw her frown and shrunk away a little. "S-Sorry if I woke you up last night." She said quietly. She was a little worried about how Erin would react. After what she'd threatened yesturday she didn't want to take any chances.
