He shook his head lightly and smiled a bit. "It's alright Saphirre, questions are a good thing." He grabbed some angel cakes, whipped cream, and sugar. He kept walking and started to pick up other items, hesitating at the eggs.

Saphirre glanced at the eggs and then back at Daniel. She grinned a little. Sure she was half-bird, but she had the body of a human. She didn't lay eggs. Then again he might just be hesitating at the price or something else, Saphirre reminded herself. "Is something wrong?"

He sighed lightly. "I don't think I have enough money out of my check to by eggs. Boiled eggs are Erin's favorite..." he shook his head lightly. "She's gonna kill me."

Saphirre frowned. "Oh..." She didn't know how to respond. She felt a little guilty. Daniel always made breakfast for her, but she wasn't able to repay him for any of it. And now he couldn't even get eggs for Erin. "Sorry..."

He shook his head. "It's not your fault, it's my jobs crappy pay. They decided to cut my pay so I'm short a couple of bucks." He pushed the shopping cart away from the eggs and sighed, getting a gallon of milk out of the case.

Saphirre let out a little sigh of her own and trailed after him. She wondered if maybe she could get a job of her own, but knew it probably wouldn't end well. She didn't know enough yet.

Soon he got all the girls groceries he needed and started to go up to the check out center. He grinned and picked up two pieces of candy with two pops. "I know you told me you didn't like pop but...I think you'll get another opinion on it with some candy in the mix." Soon enough he payed for everything and walked out of the store carrying all the bags.

She followed, eyeing the pop with a slightly suspicious gaze. "Whatever you say..." She agreed reluctantly, following him out of the store.

He opened her pop and gave it to her with the chocolate. "Here you go." He smiled at her and kept walking to his apartment, a bit curious about why his sister was at his apartment in the first place.

Saphirre took a small bite of chocolate and a hesitant sip of the soda. She tilted her head, still a little indecisive about the fizziness.

He smiled at her lightly. "Taste any better than the last time?" He fumbled with the keys, trying to open the door to his apartment.

She nodded. "A little." She took another bite of the candy bar. "This is really good though."

"Candy is always good." He finally got the door open to hear music blasting on the speakers and Erin dancing to the music. He sighed lightly and placed the food down on the counter and past his sister, grabbing a remote and turning off the speaker. Erin turned and glared at him. "Hey! I was listening to that!"

Saphirre shrunk back behind Daniel and looked at the ground, hoping to avoid bringing any more attention to herself.

Daniel frowned lightly. "You know my rule about music Erin. Now I know you're going to sto.." his pager went off and he glared at the small piece of machinery. "I have to go to work. Erin you know how to cook please be nice to Saphirre." He turned and smiled at Saphirre. "Don't worry I'll be back soon." He then walked out the door.
