"I mean I never know wh..." his doorbell rang and he groaned lightly. "Get to your room quick." He walked over to the door and opened it a bit and sighed lightly. "Running away again Erin?"
-
Saphirre hurried to her room and shut the door, locking it. She hesitated behind the closed door, listening to find out who it was.
-
The girl Erin walked into the house and smiled at her older brother. "I just decided to come vi..." Daniel crossed his arms and glared lightly at her. "Erin, I don't give me that, I don't want to hear that excuse again. Will you ever stop running away?" She glared at him with her grey eyes and her dull red hair. She wore punk clothes and black boots. "Look I'm sorry I wanted to run to my brother when dad is in one of his moods again. Your not the only one that suffers his wrath you know."
-
Saphirre frowned slightly, wondering what she meant by 'wrath'. She hoped that didn't mean Daniel's dad was one of the less kind humans. She backed away from the door a little and did her best to keep quiet.
-
Erin was about to say more and heard one of the floor boards in the other room creak. She blinked and looked at him. "Who's here Daniel?" He blinked lightly and shook his head. "Just a friend, she's not very good with new people." Erin frowned more and walked to the door she heard the noise from.
-
Saphirre backed further away from the door, hearing footsteps come towards her room. She folded her wings behind her back and did her best to keep them out of sight, incase Erin did get in.
-
Daniel ran over and grabbed her wrist. "Erin don't be like that, she's not good with people." Erin took her wrist away from his hand and soon started to pick the lock of the room. She then opened the door and blinked seeing Saphirre.
-
Saphirre shrunk back and looked at Erin with wide eyes. Her panicked gaze immediately shifted to Daniel. She pursed her lips nervously and kept her wings pressed behind her back. It was slightly uncomfortable for her still healing wing but it was more important to keep them hidden.
-
Daniel walked over to her and hugged her from behind, covering her wings carefully. "Erin I said leave her alone." Erin tilted her head a bit and frowned lightly. "She's in my room." Daniel sighed lightly. "You can take my room for the time being."
-
Saphirre shook her head. "I-If it's her room I'd be fine on the couch." She offered, leaning back against him to conceal her wings, grateful for his help.
-
Daniel glanced at her with a bit of worry and sighed lightly. "No Saphirre, you'll stay in my room and I'll sleep on the couch." Erin rolled her eyes and made a fake gag motion with her mouth. "Gross."
-
Saphirre blushed and sighed, not wanting to argue with him in front of his sister. "Okay." She replied simply. She didn't want to make him mad or anything.
-
He smiled at her and kissed her cheek lightly. "I'll help you move your clothes later, I have to talk with my sister." He walked over to Erin and walked her out of the room, closing the door behind them. "Erin I want you to be nice to her. She came from a place she didn't like and I'm trying to help her." Erin snorted lightly.
-
Saphirre silently began to gather up her clothes. She kept listening, although she didn't really mean to. Something about Erin's seemingly blunt nature made Saphirre a little anxious.
-
"I don't have to be nice to someone who's not gonna be here for long." Daniel glared at his little sister. "You're going to follow my rules Erin." Erin soon was preoccupied with Ron and he shook his head. He walked over to Saphirre's room.
