Marcus sighed. He had maintained a bit of his people's stubbornness. He layed the coat on the ground next to Cameron and sat with with back against a tree, crossing his arms. "Good night Cameron."
-
"G'night, Marcus," Cameron sighed, before staying silent for a while and falling asleep.
-
Marcus watched him with a slight smile, before picking up the other coat and laying that over Cameron as well. He didn't want the other boy to be cold. Settling back against the tree, Marcus couldn't help but glance every so often at Cameron's sleeping form. He looked so relaxed, so innocent. He had to admit it was kind of cute, although he'd never say so out loud.
-
Cameron slept rather soundly. The ground wasn't too terrible to sleep on. When he woke up, there was sunlight passing through the trees, and he lifted his head up to look around to see if Marcus was up yet.
-
(*up as in moving around ,3,)
-
Oh got it~)
Marcus was leaning against the tree still, looking tired but still alert. He smirked when Cameron opened his eyes. "Morning Sleeping Beauty." He teased lightly. "How'd you sleep?" -
Cameron moaned unintelligibly, setting his head back down, though his eyes remained open. "Wonderfully. You should have gotten some too."
-
He shook his head, pausing to stifle a yawn that wouldn't have helped his argument. "I'm fine." He pushed himself to his feet and stretched before holding out a hand to help Cameron to his feet.
-
Cameron sighed, knowing Marcus must be tired, but it was too late for that now. He sat up, and took Marcus' hand to pull himself up. "We should get going before it gets too hot out here."
-
Marcus nodded. "Yeah, you're right." He realized he was still holding Cameron's hand and blushed slightly, quickly letting go and picking up his pack.
-
Cameron looked at the blushing boy for a moment before brushing it off, picking his pack up along with his wings. Folded up together, the wings were the size of a large book in the shape of a triangle.
-
Marcus glanced at the folded up wings, again impressed. He hadn't known they could get so small. He started walking. The sun was just coming up, so they still had some time before it got too hot out.
-
Cameron followed closely to Marcus, not wanting to stray too far in case something happened.
-
Every snap of a twig seemed to make Marcus edgier than he already was. He knew he'd feel responsible if anything happened to Cameron. Marcus had been the one to shoot him down and get him into this whole mess, if he got hurt it would be Marcus' fault.
-
Cameron walked along quietly, listening intently to everything around. A few twig snaps, a rabbit rushing past. There was a rushing woosh of wings, but he ignored it, until he heard a whistle. When he looked in the direction, he saw it- up in a tree, a head of rainbow-colored hair on a little girl no older than seven. "Marcus..." He warned the boy, while he motioned the girl forward.
