Scarlet noticed her blush. "What's wrong? I was saying thank you." She hoped she hadn't done something wrong...
Hehe it's so fun having such a naive character XD) -
"Nothing's wrong... I was just surprised." Silver said sincerely.
(I imagine.) -
"Oh...sorry for surprising you." She said with another little smile. "I was worried I'd upset you for a moment."
-
Silver giggled. "You couldn't upset me, ever." She said, winking. "You're my little ball of Sunshine~"
-
Scarlet giggled as well. "I love you." She said, again unaware of what she was insinuating. "I mean I love being with you. It's so fun."
-
Silver smiled. "Well, when you say it that way, I love you too~" She was smiling again. She was happy. And now that her cute little naive neko had said it, she finally understood why. She loved Scarlet, and not in the sense that Scarlet had implied...
-
"What other way is there to say it?" She asked, tilting her head in mild confusion.
-
Silver thought for a second. "Actually, I don't know."
-
"I mean, there's 'I love you' like family, like friends, or..." She blushed. "Oh." She hadn't realized what she might've been implying. She blushed again and giggled. "Or 'I love you' for someone special~"
-
"I guess you're right. But then again, I wouldn't know. You're the only person I've ever said I love you to, in any way." Silver stated. She would just push down her feelings. The little neko didn't feel the same way about her, as far as Silver knew.
-
"What about your parents?" Scarlet asked softly. She was a little confused. She didn't love Silver like family, and 'friends' just didn't seem like enough. Maybe...maybe Silver was her someone special...
-
Silver looked at her lap. "To sum it up, they wouldn't have cared one bit if I committed suicide." She clenched her fists, turning over her hands and examining the scars on her wrists.
-
Scarlet gently reached out and pulled one of Silver's hands into her laps. She held it carefully, as though it might break, and gingerly traced her fingertip over the scars. "I'm so sorry..."
-
Silver felt tears well up in her eyes, but she blinked them back. "It's fine. It's not your fault." She laughed half heartedly. "You're the last person who's fault it would be."
