Scarlet pulled Silver into her arms and hugged her tightly. "I know, but it's not fair. You're so beautiful and kind and you don't deserve this!"
-
Silver hugged her back. "Well, you didn't deserve a life on the run, either." She was getting that tingly feeling that usually told her it was time to cut, but she pushed it aside.
-
Scarlet felt a wave of guilt wash over her. "O-Oh, I..." She didn't know how to explain things to Silver. "Thank you, but I'm afraid I did deserve that..."
-
"No." Silver spoke defiantly. "It doesn't matter what you did or how bad it was, nobody deserves that kind of life."
-
Scarlet smiled somewhat sadly. "Maybe in your realm things are different. But where I'm from..." She shook her head.
-
Silver shrugged. "Well it won't make a difference to me. You'll always be my little ball of sunshine, no matter what you did before or what you do after this moment."
-
Scarlet smiled, but she still wasn't reassured. "Silver," she took a deep breath. "If Rath comes back for me I'll have to leave. I don't want you getting hurt."
-
Silver dropped her smile. "I don't want you to leave!" She shouted. She pulled Scarlet into a tight hug. "You're the only friend I've ever had..." Silver felt tears in her eyes yet again.
-
Scarlet hugged her back and sighed. "I don't want to leave either, but he could kill you. I'd never forgive myself if that happened."
-
"Wait!" Silver said, jumping up. "Come with me." She ran inside and up to her room, flinging the door open to the black and dark purple walls, furniture, and decorations. Grabbing a peice of white chalk, she drew a large magic casting circle on her black wood floor, big enough for her and Scarlet to sit in. "Sit inside the circle." She yelled, hoping Scarlet was there to hear her. Then she turned and pulled out five white candles, a box of matches, and a stack of photographs.
-
Scarlet reluctantly sat inside the circle. She didn't have the heart to tell Silver that this all was pointless. No matter how many chalks circles they drew or incantations they spoke, humans simply could not perform magic. It wasn't possible.
-
Silver shoved the stack of photographs in Scarlet's hands, saying "Pick one." She placed the candles between them, also sitting in the circle. She lit the candles, before pushing back her whitish hair and revealing her ears for the first time. Her ears were not those of an elf, at least, not fully. She had halfing ears, which she recieved upon casting a spell she didn't think would work at a young age.
(Actually my friend has halfing like ears. And then I've only done one glamour, but it was super small. I know how to use kywi magic, and I had this weird dream about this scene happening before, so I didn't think I would incorporate it until now. Meh.) -
Huh, coolio~)
Scarlet glanced down at the photographs. She chose one randomly and held it out to Silver, still doubting the whole thing. -
(Yurp.)
Silver nodded at the photograph. The girl had black hair and brown eyes. "Nice choice. Her name is Amber Aries. But now she'll be Amber Scarlet Aries." She placed the picture onto the candles in the middle, letting it burn. "Mutatio habitu fulgor..." she started chanting, getting louder and louder. Finally, she yelled, "MUTATIO ABITU FULGOR!" She felt her energy drain as a strip of her hair floated up towards the ceiling before falling back into place. When she looked up, she gasped. All the candles were out. And Scarlet now looked like the girl from the photo. No ears, no tail. Just a regular girl with black hair and brown eyes. -
I hate to be picky but can she keep the red hair?)
Scarlet blinked, feeling a little dazed. She brought a hand up to her head and gasped. "M-My ears! They...they're gone!"
