"I used to play the saxophone in seventh grade," she offered awkwardly, then opened the door and slid out of the car. "Stay here."
-
"As if I'm going to go anywhere knowing that the night will be over soon." He sighed and relaxed, watching her go over to the atm.
-
She withdrew two thousand dollars from the joint account she shared with her parents. She didn't know what would happen in the next week, and in the case the car broke down or they got a flat, she needed to be prepared.
-
Oh by the way I don't have school tomorrow I can get on whenever just remember I'm on west coast time

"I don't understand how simple pieces of green paper can be worth so much. What gives them their value anyway? I used gold and silver coins back when I actually interacted with humans. They were far more valuable."
-
Anna got back in the car, and reached over to his side of the car to open the glove compartment. "Other than the value human society puts on them? Nothing." She kept two of the twenties and put the rest in the compartment, then closed it. "Sorry about that," she said, referring to how she'd been practically leaning on his lap for an entire minute. It didn't bother her, but he seemed the type to be disgusted.
-
If it were possible for him to blush, he likely would've from the closeness of another living being. Well, technically he was dead, but he was still up and moving. "I-It's alright...You're really warm.." He looked away, embarrassed but also envious that humans could have so much heat that they practically emitted it while he was cold as ice.
-
She smiled a little, and flipped on the heated seat button for his seat. "I wouldn't have guessed that vampire rumor was true."
-
"Blood doesn't flow through us, obviously. The fact that we're dead means we have no heat." He was startled by the seat, then relaxed against it.
-
"Interesting." She drove away from the bank. While she was doing that, since the roads were pretty much empty, she pulled out her phone, reset it completely, and turned it off. Then she tossed it in the back seat.
-
"Even I know it is not safe to avert your eyes from the path you are riding on. Anything could happen. Anyone could come out of nowhere." Zander wiped his eyes a bit and watched out the window. The sky wasn't quite as dark anymore, which worried him a bit.
-
She rolled her eyes. "I know what I'm doing. And if you're worried, we have another hour at least. I know where and when we can stop, and if you need to, you can feed."
-
"I told you that animals will suffice, they just don't taste as good." He scoffed, sitting back a bit, still feeling the warmth of the heated seat.
-
She kept driving. "So, tell me a little bit about yourself. Other than that you're, well, dead."
-
"Like what?" The vampire looked at her, lightly sucking on his bottom lip out of boredom. He was being careful not to accidentally pierce a hole through his lip.
