"Your cousin proves my point. We're nothing but game and target practice to hunters." His ears perks at the mention of Anna's brother. "You have a sibling? Was he to do the same and kill my kin?"
-
"The only reason I know my cousin and uncle even exist is because of my grandparents. My dad tried to keep my brother and I as far away from the idea of hunting as he could. So no, he wasn't supposed to. But he's dead, so I guess it doesn't matter." She yawned just a bit.
-
"...I see...I'm guessing your uncle asked him to do all of this first and he got hurt?" Zander asked in a gently tone, feeling bad for Anna this time. "..Thank..For helping me get my brother back..I don't know what would happen if I lost him."
-
"Actually, he and his friends got drunk and ran their car off a bridge. But you're welcome." And with that, she was pretty much asleep.
-
He wanted to say something, but he wasn't sure of what. And he could hear her heart rate and breathing slow down, signaling that she was asleep. He sighed softly and shut his eyes, trying to clear his mind and take a cat nap of his own.
-
Her breathing slowed, and she was dreamlessly asleep.
-
Zander simply tried to relax, to rest, but hissed every time the sun licked over his icy skin. "Damnit...this is so boring.." He mumbled to himself, hoping Anna wouldn't sleep for too long.
-
She started snoring just a little.
-
(We can kinda just timeskip through all these hours of waiting. x3)
The vampire covered his mouth to suppress his light chuckles and laughter. He'd never heard a girl snore before. -
Let's do that.
Anna woke woke up as the sun was setting. -
Zander was still submerged under the blanket, sleeping peacefully and stirring a bit.
-
She slowly opened her eyes, not really remembering where she was. Then she saw the hood of her car, and the blanket lump. Then she remembered.
-
The vampire whined softly in his sleep, not having the best of dreams.
-
Anna noticed his discomfort, and scooted over to his blanket. She peeked under, making sure not to let any of the last, dying sunlight in. She reached over and gently squeezed his arm, not bothered by how cold it was.
-
"Zander?" she whispered.
