"Prove it then. You are a huntress at heart. So...help me find him, then I'll let you be with your life." He set the phone down, looking at her sternly.
-
"And if I don't?" she asked.
-
"I'll kill you anyway. I may be a vampire, but I'm not that strong alone. I can take humans, but not another beast. Having a huntress around would be helpful. So, are we going to get moving or am I going to bite out your throat?"
-
She sighed. "Can I finish eating? I want to talk about something, I suppose." If she was the huntress he said she was, wouldn't she be able to defend herself? She didn't feel like a huntress. She'd noticed that, in the very few times family visited, they were... different. If they hunted, she wasn't like them.
-
"Hurry up..The night is short." He stretched his arms to pop his shoulders and elbows. "Talk...? About what?"
-
"So that's true, then?" she asked. She brought the sandwich downstairs and sat on the counter, watching him as she ate.
-
"What? Me being a consumer of another creature's life? If you really don't believe me, then I'll show you later."
-
"The sunlight thing, actually. Tell me about your lover or brother or... whoever you want to find." She pushed open one of the cabinets below her with a toe, then shut it again.
-
"Imagine being on fire. That's how it feels." He then growled and hissed a bit. "Brother. I don't need a lover. I've yet to ever meet a female with pure enough a soul..What do you want to know?"
-
She winced. "Uh, what does he look like, what's he like? How would he, uh... how would he respond to being imprisoned?"
-
"His hair is a shade lighter, his eyes are practically grey. Small build since he's younger. Like I said, we weren't bad. We didn't want to just kill, we killed for good reason. And I don't know because we've never been imprisoned before."
-
"Lighter? You're already pretty blond." She thought about him for a moment.
-
"Believe it or not, his hair is the color of vanilla. Appears white but has a yellow tint." He looked out the window.
-
"Weird," she said, shortening her previous statement into one word. "Wait... I need to show you something, then."
-
"...And what might that be? You really how much time we're wasting, correct?"
