I pulled my hand away awkwardly and began to walk towards the water

He followed her.

I waded the water until it reached my knees, I kneeled down on the sand, the water now tickling my neck. "Liquid silk"

He followed her until it was just at his waist. "You're weird."

I smiled, "In a bad or good way?"

"Both." He reached down and splashed her a little.

I laughed, sending a splash right back at him, "I suppose that's a good mix"

As long as he didn't get his back wet, he would be fine, right? He grinned, splashing a little more.

I laughed more, maybe even giggling a little, I waggled my eyebrows with a grin, "Don't make me pull you down here"

"And you can only do that if you catch me." He started sprinting through the shallower water down the beach.

I grinned, standing up I ran after him, water splashing my ankles, each stride was long and quick. Pretty soon I was catching up to him

He pushed ahead, trying his best to stay ahead of her.

He was still faster than me, and I knew I would never catch up if I didn't do something. So I acted. I pounced, and jumped onto his back

He hit the water. It took him a moment to realize what happened, but sat up as soon as he could and tried to keep himself out of the water.

I rolled onto the water, lying in it all around me. I tapped his shoulder with my foot, "Told ya I'd catch you"
