He sighed. "You did. I'm... uh... gonna head back, I'll see you later..." He stood and left before she could say anything, running up the beach, grabbing his flip-flops and the book, and heading onto the boardwalk and away from the beach.

I watched him go away, I sighed sadly. I was begin to have fun with that grumpy chap, for a moment I actually thought he was loosening up. I leaned my back into the water, maybe he needs space

He walked home, hoping no one noticed the faint darkness underneath his light shirt. He climbed the stairs into his house, headed upstairs to his room. He closed the door, then pulled off his shirt. Max stretched out his wings, flexing them gently for a moment then extending them fully.

I lay there for quite a while, my eyes closed. Enjoying the sun warm my face, soon I realized it was dark and I should be getting back. I got up, grabbed my things and walked to the house. When I got in, my hair was finally beginning to dry. Hmm...should I check up Maxxi?

By that time, he'd changed into dry clothes and returned to his book. He left his shirt off so his wings could dry faster.
By that time, Max's "mother" had returned home from "work." She was standing in the kitchen when Alice walked in. "Oh, hello! I'm Mrs. Newhouse. You're Alice Grey, correct?" -
I was caught of guard when Max's mom saw me, I quickly covered myself in my towel, remembering being in a bikini I was practically half naked, "Yes, I am. Sorry I'm not dressed, just got back from the beach"

"Did Maxwell take you down there? I forgot to tell him you were coming, didn't I?" She'd been cleaning the containers she put her lunch in that morning, and was now wiping her wet hands on a towel.

(Nevermind, no school tomorrow :D)
"Yes, he was rather suprised. Yes, he showed me the way", I wrapped my towel tightly around myself starting to feel cold after being wet for so long -
"You look cold. You should head upstairs and change, and maybe bring him down with you. I'm about to start making dinner." She smiled once again. "Its great to have you here." She headed back into the kitchen and started getting out ingredients for the meal.

"Thank you", I smiled, wow she's really nice. I made my way up the stairs slowly, I opened Max's door a little bit, enough to peak my head through, "Maxxi yo-...", my jaw dropped. Really, I stood there gaping at him and his gorgeous wings, "Holy heaven..hell..umm.."

"Wha- ah- what the hell do you want?" He was up in a flash, folding up his wings neatly and forcing the door closed. "Knock next time, dammit!"

"S-sorry", I mumbled, still in a state I stood and stared at the closed door. I didn't just see that. I did not just see Max with wings and if I did I must be mad, I sighed and rubbed my forehead, "First bloody sign of schizophrenia", I mumbled walking back to my room

He walked over to his dresser, grabbing a shirt and pulling it on. He sighed, and shook his head. "Really?" he breathed.

I walked into my room, pulling on a baby blue dress, "Just my imagination, just my crazy mind", I whispered to myself. Before walking outside I sighed, "Alice, you have finally gone mad", passing his door I knocked and called, "Dinners ready!", I walked past quickly

He slowly headed for the door, opened it, and headed downstairs.
