I was curious. I opened his door wider and sat next to him on his bed, peering at the title of the book
-
Forgot to say this, but when I said 1700s I actually meant 1800s (damn typos), specifically the later half of the century
He handed her the book and scooted away slightly. "If you don't believe me, check." It was a tattered copy of Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities. -
(Okay)
"Dickens?", I looked at the book and smiled, I loved old things, especially old worn out books, "Hmm..I've never really gotten into Dickens, never tried. I'm too inlove with Shakespeare" -
"Hmm," he responded, smiling just a little.
-
I caught sight of his smile, "I'm guessing your the more listen to something nice and curl up with a good book kind of person?"
-
"As opposed to...?" he asked, still smiling a little.
-
I smiled back, "The let's get drunk and hump some lamposts", I raised an eyebrow jokingly, "Unless this is a disguise"
-
"You say that like you've never met an attractive lamp post before." He took back the book.
-
"I haven't, have you?"
-
"I can think of a few. You were going down to the beach, weren't you?"
-
I laughed, "Oh yeah! I actually forgot about that", I stood up, "Sure you don't want to come?"
-
"Only if I can bring my book. Or find some lamp posts." It didn't sound that bad, he just had to keep his shirt on.
-
"Of course, we'll find you a gorgeous lampost"
-
(Gotta go, bye)
-
He grinned. "Fantastic. Let's go."
I'm going to go eat now. I'll be back later.
