I frowned, "Oh...I um..", I looked down at my shoes for a few moments, "Sorry for bothering you"

He felt kind of bad. No, he did feel bad. I'm such a p---- ! Instead of explaining, he shrugged. "Whatever."

"Umm...yeah, I should just go", I said backing towards the door slowly, yet I couldn't bring myself to believe him. I was certain. He is lying

He closed to door as she left. Afterward, he threw himself onto his bed. "You're a coward. Such a coward," he breathed, then rolled over due to the discomfort of his wings.

I walked back into my room and curled onto my bed. He's lying, but why? Is it cause I'm a stranger? Is it a secret?

He unfolded his wings slightly under his shirt, before folding them back. They were mostly dry by that point.

"Okay Alice, you got two options. Burst into his room like a madwoman and demand he shows your the wings or be patient and just wait even though there's a chance he won't ever show you cause they don't exist, and then you'll be waiting and nothing will happen"

He looked outside. It was dark enough to leave. He stood, quietly opening the door and leaving.

"But you'll choose the latter, cause your too thoughtful and want to give him space even though he's spilling lies", I sighed to myself, "Oh Alice, what shall we do with you?"
