Shira froze and watched this horrifying display of rage. Crade's shadowy gray pelt was stained dark red, almost like X's. Small drops of blood fell slowly down. The Shade leader had multiple slashes on his muzzle, a cut over one eyes, wounds on both shoulders, and a wide scratch that ran down his spine. His breath, now coming in shallow gasps, slowed, and the light faded from his eyes. "Nothing..." Stunned shock hit the entire group as they watched Crade take his last breaths. With one final choke, he lay still. There was dead silence. Shira was terrified. That wasn't X. He had snapped, changed, something, but he wasn't himself right now. Kuroa gave a strangled cry. The gray cat had turned evil in his days, but there was a time when they had loved each other. Her pale blue fur was trembling slightly. "Father?!" Zhale cried in disbelief. He stared at Crade's corpse, which was stiff as stone. Shira was still frozen, not even moving when icy raindrops began to cascade down from the gray sky.
-
X stood over the still limp form of the body that he had... Killed. Horror shook his whole body as he sheathed his claw and bowed his head. Rain fell down and began to pick up speed. The great cat' body shook as tears slid down but mathed the rain. His ears flattens down to his head and he fought to urge to yowl in pain. The rain washed away the blood and stung the open wounds but he didn't dare move nor make a sound. He listened to the yowls of horror and protest. Maybe he wasn't any better... Slowly he lifted his muzzle and looked into the sky as if they had answers that only he could hear. His yellow eyes looks dull, empty, sad and alone. His tail went limp and hit the ground without a sound.
-
Kala just stared at the bloody mess before her. "X..."
She slowly closed her eyes, shaking all over. "X..." Kala sighed, shaking her head. "I should've known... I thought you changed. -
Another charrie, because I guess we're not very concerned about the Skylighters anymore... but that's okay!)
Name: Ezmere (Ez-meer)
Gender: Male
Village: Midnighter
Fur: Ruffled and dark gray, teal blue streaks
Eyes: Hazelnut brown
Scent: Burning timber trees
Backstory: Once reigned as king in his own canyon far, far away. There was a she-puma he begged to rule at his side, but she constantly refused because he wasn't what he was looking for (she was evil). Soon Ezmere was changed by this beautiful yet deceiving cougaress completely changed him. As his soul darkened, all he wanted was power and fame, making him a terrible king. All of his subjects banished him from his own canyon, and he was forced to travel many miles underground to the Midnight Village of Noble Canyon. Now he remains wary of trust, so he never goes near anyone, and he never thinks he will love again. -
"Shut up!" The silence was broken by Shira's scream. The black puma had tears running down her muzzle, though it was hard to tell in the rain. A choked sob broke through and she glared murderously at Kala. "Don't go near him!" Terrified as she was of the huge red puma, her friend X was still there...somewhere...and this Shade servant had the audacity to insult him!? Empowered by her fury, she unsheathed her claws, growling lowly. Her eyes narrowed into slits as she crouched, ready to spring. Tensing up, the black puma snarled and....stood there. Sobbing and snarling. As much as she wanted to kill every Shade here, she just...couldn't. She ceased her mournful wails and sat down. Her head was bowed and her ruby eyes closed. In a barely audible whisper, she spoke. "What happened to us...?"
-
X just stood there is whole body shaking and numb. Slowly his legs have out from under neath him and he laid there in the mud and rain. His body might have as we'll be as cold as the body next to him.
-
This is so dramatic!!)
Kuroa continued to stare at Crade's limp figure. Zhale stood next to
Kala, his head bowed. Shira rose, tears still in her eyes, and layed down next to X. She layed her muzzle next to his and leaned into his larger form, hoping to comfort him. She couldn't help it, her heart was breaking. He had gone through so much. -
His eyes slowly slid open and turned to slow at her. "Who... Am I?" He whispers his words husky and broken. Mud clung to his pelt where he laid on the ground. His body was limp and the bleeding was slowing down.
-
"You are the light." She whispered, fighting back tears now more than ever. "You're my light." She glanced around. "Look, we're free. Crade is gone."
-
"I might as well be like Crade." He said bitterly looking at the blood on his paws. "Thy don't see me like you do." He said softly looking back at her. Coldness started to set in and he was shivering.
-
"They don't matter. Let's go back to my cave. It's warm there." She said. She hated seeing him so vulnerable.
-
He rose to his large paws and looked at Crade and said words that no cat would think of him to say "May thy hidden in shadow rest in peace." He slowly trailed after the black she-cat his tail dragging behind him and his ears flat. Pumas parted to let them through, none wanted to touch him.
-
Kala felt her arms, and heart, go numb. Her knees buckled and she fell to the ground in front of Crade, sobbing. Why?!! she thought, anger welling up inside her. Why does someone always have to die?! And why... Kala's head drooped toward the direction X and Kuroa had set off in. Why must my love be taken away...
Suddenly their was a fierce snort. Heart beating rapidly, Kala whirled around and saw a rugged, gray-blue figure before her. "Who... who are you?!!" she demanded breathlessly, slowly backing away.
"I am Ezmere," answered the mysterious figure. "And I am here to help."
(Oh, and Ezmere has the ability of telepathy, so he can read minds! Your pumas can also develop stuff like this too, if you want!) -
Okay! But actually Shira went with X. I'm also not sure if X and Kala have ever met, but okay!)
Zhale stepped forward and nuzzled her. "Kala..." He looked up at the stranger. "I don't think we need your help."
Shira led X to her cave. It was warm, and sheltered. Safe drone the rain and the other pumas. -
X followed after her like a dejected cub. He plopped down on the cold cave and yawned and went to close his eyes but opened them a moment later. He couldn't quiet his thoughts and his pelt was sticky and itchy. He shuffled quietly trying not disturb Shira.
