I understand that.
But I still think it's wrong. No one's life matters more than another's, even if the other's hasn't fully developed. -
Sorry, but I'm going to need to back out of this debate. I am getting uncomfortable and I feel sick just reading this.

I don't have an issue with people being personally pro-life because of their own moral and religious beliefs. That's fine. I don't even have a problem with people who are working to provide resources so that people don't feel like abortion is the only option they have. That kind of work is important.
However, I won't hesitate to condemn someone spreading misinformation and dangerous religious propaganda. I stand by what I said, and Ravager, you obviously know that getting an abortion is not evil or in any way something that should be equated to getting assaulted. They're not on the same level, and you know that. YOUR statement was extremely triggering and your nonchalant attitude for the struggle of victims next to your own statement of hatred for people who have needed to have an abortion (including people who are victims) was disgusting. Perhaps I overreacted, but I'm not going to withdraw what I said. I think your morals and views are disgusting and I don't care if that offends you as you have made multiple offensive statements.
I also have no respect for people judging and hating human beings for wanting control over their own bodies and lives as blanket position, especially when their worldview is limited and they've done 0 work to expand it or seek more information. And I won't be apologizing for that.
That said, I will be removing myself from this conversation as I'm way too close to the topic to be polite about it. It is vile to me that we're forcing unwanted pregnancies on people in 2022 but I guess that's where we're at. -
Propaganda...?
And perhaps you misunderstood what I said before.
I had stated that the TOPIC of abortion pisses me off.
What I'm reading is you twisting my previous statement to try and piss me off.
BTW, counterpoint to the 3rd paragraph, "My body My choice" isn't a valid argument, because it is not YOUR body, an unborn child is a separate entity to yourself. -
no. cancelling abortion is a stupid idea.
many people who have abortions have been raped, and some people who have abortions wanted the child but weren’t financially stable and couldn’t afford it.
Believe it or not, a hella ton of people who get abortions are teenagers. And teen moms fall financially the majority of the time if they have a child.
Plus, even if you use a condom and are doing it for pleasure, there’s still a chance the woman will get pregnant. Several studies have shown this as accurate.
As an addition to that, even, my best friend’s aunt got pregnant at 17. Her parents told her if she didn’t have an abortion, she’d get kicked out and have to live in the streets. -
I'm not sure where you got your statistics Espie, but women who have been raped make up about 1% of abortions. 17% of abortions are teenagers, but 6 out of 10 of the women getting abortions are already mothers. It's all on Google.
Still, that 1% of women are still living, breathing human beings. That's why I think it's more important to help and support the women through their pregnancies instead of just tossing them into a potentially traumatic experience with no one there for them (both labor and abortion can be traumatic experiences btw) -
I wish I'd been aborted
