We live in a world where hunting for sport is allowed. Animals have feelings, they have families, yet we still kill them and not always just for meat. It's horrible, but no body stops them. Abortion is horrible for religious people, but there's no stopping people who will do it.

That "potential person" could end up naturally falling out and women get periods for years, losing an egg (and "potential person") each month but no one cares about miscarriages or periods. Also you're pushing people to keep a baby they don't want, yet you yourself say "ew" to pregnancy. You have at least 50 "potential people" inside you and you're letting them "die" every month. Plus if you were raped yourself would you still be telling everyone to keep it? It's their choice for their body and no the cells are not a person, they do not feel, they will not feel being aborted. They are part of a woman's body which she'd have to take care of for 9 months to make it into a person anyways. If a woman goes into the doctors to get an abortion there isn't some little voice saying, "no I want to live! I'm alive!" because all it is and will be is cells.
Also people who make things illegal because they personally are against the thing are extremely selfish. Just because you do not want to have an abortion doesn't mean you have to get one. However, you shouldn't take that option away from someone who may need one. -
How about we stop focusing on the freedom of choice aspect of it and think of it differently?

Some may seem more for Planned Parenthood than abortion in general, but planned parenthood has much to do with abortion so it's relevent to this issue as PP may get abolished if abortion gets completely illegalized.
I keep seeing these arguments against abortion relating to these subjects so I compiled these together as they would offer some insight as to why Planned Parenthood and abortion being legal is beneficial and that taking away the option can be really really bad.
Why Planned Parenthood is important for abuse victims with uteruses THIS ONE IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT AS THIS IS ABUSE RELATED SO PLEASE READ THIS ONE.
A reason abortion is needed as a possibility, especially for people on medication
An excellent argument that focuses on why someone who gets an abortion is not a murderer
"Why don't you go through with this pregnancy and just put up the child for adoption?" Answered -
Pfff.
"Well my husband won't let me put it up for adoption so I should just kill it."
"It would be devastating to give my child up and watch it live, so I should just kill it."
"I'll be traumatized, so I should just kill it so I don't have to be."
"I don't want children in any shape or form, so I should just kill it."
As far as medical purposes, I think abortion is okay. -

Dude if I got raped, I'd keep the baby. I don't care if I was 10. I'd keep the child.
If it was a miscarriage, the child wasn't meant to come to this earth. If your birth control fails, it was. -
That statement is so stupid. Obviously people getting the abortion for some reason don't want it and that reason could very well be because they don't want to be pregnant.
You wouldn't be able to support it.
Or maybe it has nothing to do with religion. Oh mah gaaaaah. -
