Huh. In a different thread, what I've been meaning to say but haven't found the right way to explain just came to me.
If it's okay to kill babies painlessly, why is it not okay to kill children (let's say about 8 years old) painlessly? Put some kind of drug in their food or something? Overdose them on sleeping medication?
They're both painless and they both take away the life of a human being. -

The "sack of cells" hasn't started breathing YET but it will.
Person 1: These are all the supplies I need for my project
Person 2: *destroys supplies*

Exactly. It's person one's choice to get rid of the baby so person two is complaining.

Well most likely the child would already have people that he or she is attached to or others that are attached to them. Whereas an unwanted undeveloped fetus I'd hard to develope an attraction to

Oh, no, it doesn't matter if there's people who want the child to live. It should be the mother's choice if she wants the child to live or not.
(Saying this from your perspective) -
Unplanned children tend to be less successful than children who's parents were prepared and actually wanted the child. Going through an entire unplanned pregnancy and birth is stressful for both the mother and the baby. Women who have unplanned children tend to be less attached to the child and are less likely to take care of them as well

Well for one, you just reignited this thread because you would be willing to kill your own child on someone else's will. Second youre comparing killing an 8 year old to an embryo

Either way abortions will still happen (just in case you've forgotten the topic of this thread) its better for them to be safe than women having back alley abortions
