"Okay... I hope you're right..." I looked up at him, my eyes full of hope and yearning. I started to reach out towards Ace but stopped myself midway. Stupid.. He's as straight as an arrow...
-
But he's a curvy arrow! D:
"I am." I said. C'mon... touch him or something... -
"But... How do you know?" I held his gaze, my eyes tearing up. It was true, I was frightened. So frightened, in fact, that the pain had been numbed by my fear.
-
.3. Ello?
-
Sorry. Kindle died.
"Just trust me," I finally had enough courage to hug him. -
That's okay. :3
I hugged Ace back, a tingling sensation running through me. I felt my face get hot. -
:3
It was great to have someone to hold on to for once. -
Moments ticked by, and still neither of us let go. In Ace's arms I felt safe, protected... It wasn't a surprise that I was grabbed by the hand of sleep within minutes.
-
He soon drifted into sleep. He looked so innocent and fragile... and... adorable.
-
c': D'aw~.
My sleep was dreamless, painless... For once the recurring nightmares ceased to return. -

I kissed his forehead, and sat back in my chair.
-
The next few hours consisted of nothing but an empty warmness, a blanket of bliss, amidst a dark plane. Later, I was woken up by a nurse. I looked around groggily, noticing that Ace was still in the room, with me.
-
The nurse's footsteps woke me from an uncomfortable sleep. I sat up straight in my chair and stared in the darkness. I could make out the two, the nurse hunched over Kadens cot.
-
"Just putting in a new IV so we can get you set for the procedure, hon." The nurse replaced the tubes and needle, then sauntered out of the room with the used materials in a small plastic bag.
