"Oh, f---...." I just about had an anxiety attack when he flipped the jet upside down. My vision was blurred, though I wasn't sure if it was because of the rapid movement, my fear, or my lack of blood. -

I turned my head towards him, nodding. "I'll be... okay... eventually..." -

Soon, we landed in the outskirts of the Quebecian base, in which they had medical staff. -
"Land... Thank f---ing god..." My voice came out as a raspy whisper. I still gripped the seat, my knuckles white.

I smiled, helping him up. "It'll be alright,"

"Thank you." We soon arrived at the medical facility, where I was quickly laid down on a cot and examined.
"We can get the bullets out... Possibly," the head nurse said, dabbing my wounds with a wet cloth to wash the dried blood away. -
I winced. Of course, I didn't know him well, but I still felt bad for him.

"We'll head into procedures tomorrow. Use tonight to rest up. We're nearly out of anesthesia and morphine, so I'm afraid we can only partially knock you out for the operation."
I shut my eyes. "That's okay." I couldn't help but hear my breathing. It resembled that of Darth Vader, heavy, shallow, raspy... It was horrible. The nurse stood up and left the room, leaving me alone with Ace. -
I clenched my jaw. There was a 75% cghance he wouldn't make uit out of this in one piece. Which would be disasterous.
