I wasted no time in shooting down a few men. My hair kept falling in front of my eyes, obstructing my vision for seconds at a time. God damn it, I need to get this mop cut if I make it out of here.

I fired at the men pointing their guns at Kaden. Truly, I didn't want him dead. He had common sense. One shot Corey dead.

I whipped around and shoved a guy who was about to shoot me to the ground with enough force to knock him out for a while. -

So, they make it out alive, but after having to retreat because only Ace and Kaden are left. Kaden gets wounded, so when they eventually make it to the base he's confined to the hospital/medical area. Then every day Ace comes in to talk to him and crap, and they get to know each other that way... Thoughts?
I glanced around, my eyes wide and wild. I took a few more shots, opening up the entrance for about a few seconds. I took the opportunity to slip into the building, only to be met by three armed men, all aiming to shoot. -

I was too preoccupied to save Kaden... I was getting atleast 3 men, all armed, away from me. -

They seemed to pity me. I readied my gun as well, but one fired at my hand, sending my weapon flying across the floor. The bullet sank into my palm, a searing pain surging from my left hand. It shook uncontrollably as I reached into my waistband with my right, taking out my pocket knife. It was then that the other two shots rang out. -
FAIL.
But yes.
I had an adrenalin rush.. killing two with one shot and knocking the other unconscious. "Kaden!" I screamed, fire at the three. -

Har, you do it with these things.
My breathing became hitched as the pain came at me full force. "D-d-d-damn it..." One bullet had implanted itself into my left shoulder, while the third had hit just below my rib cage. -

Bullet after bullet went through their body... they mostly resembled swiss cheese. I knelt at Kaden's side. "Dear God... K-K-Kaden?" -
Like the f---ing quiz formatting. :P I got it now.
I took a breath, a fire shooting through my chest. "I-I'm fi-fine... We should... r-re-retreat..." I was slumped on the floor, blood pooling around me. I started to get up, about halfway off of the floor when my body gave way. I smacked against the hard tile floor, the wind knocked out of me. -

I gasped, putting his arm around my neck helping him get up. I looked around, realising that we were the only survivors. -
Will watch latahr.
"Anytime." Slowly, I led him out of the "acute war zone" as a sign had said. -
Alright.
"Our base doesn't.... have a medical center..." I murmured, my sentence broken up by little gasps for air. My hair fell into my eyes, but this time lack of strength was the thing that kept me from clearing it out of the way. -
I'll be back in five minutes. Gotta finish chores.
