He slid her off his lap. "I'll be right back." He got out of the car, headed toward the restrooms.
A few minutes later, he returned to the car. -
I was sitting in his seat, waiting for him. When he got back I slid over, then wrapped my arms around him again.

He sighed. "Really? I already told you."

"I know, but you're still warm." I smiled at him.

He leaned back in the seat. He was worried that someone would realize... they wouldn't. They wouldn't know it was them.

I laid my head on his chest. His heartbeat was smooth and calm. It relaxed me.

He stroked her hair gently.

I closed my eyes and just listened to his heart beat, and feel his hand stroking my hair.

They sat like that for a while.

I sighed contentedly. This was perfect.

She either forgot and bounced back quickly, or she hadn't had a boyfriend back home.

This was the closest contact I had ever had with anyone. I was asked out before, but they all already had girlfriends and only wanted my money. That was what I had hated about my life. But there was no way Mark could do that.

He looked down at her, smiling faintly.

I scooted up on his lap so I could rest my head on his neck. I smiled at him when I saw him smiling. "You have an amazing smile. I wish you would show it more."

"Really?" For some reason, he had a hard time believing that.
