"Yep, not moving." I settled in so I would be comfortable.

"Fine." He looked out the window.

I sighed. I knew he wasn't going to give it up for a while and this was pretty comfortable. If I could freeze any moment and live in it forever, this would be it.

"You're pretty determined, too..." He didn't look down at her.

"Thank you." I knew that wasn't all. I still held on tight.

"Well...?"

"What else?" He was going to have to tell me sooner or later.

"Fishing for compliments isn't nice, little girl." A small grin grew on his face.

"Whoever said I was nice? Or a little girl, for that matter?" I smirked.

"Compared to me, you are a little girl." He smiled. Well, sorta... kinda... maybe. He was only a little bit older than her.

"I'm 16, remember? My birthday was yesterday." I was not a little girl.

"I'm seventeen in a month. Or is it eighteen?" He sat there, thinking about what his age might be. "Oh well, I lost track again."

"I'm pretty sure you're sixteen." I laid my head on his chest with my arms still around him. Still waiting.

"I don't think so." Then again, he didn't know.

"I'm sure," I said, smiling. I knew I was right. I don't know how, I just did.
