He sighed. "Fine... uh... let's see... what do you want me to tell you?"

"What's the other reason why you don't want me dead?" I wasn't giving up. Never...

"I dunno. Maybe I do now..." He casually slid the knife out of his pocket.

My heart sped up but I didn't let go. "I'll tell you mine first."

"Fine." He didn't put the knife away, but he didn't bring it up against her.

"When ever I touch you, I feel like nothing in the world can harm me." I looked up to his face. "I feel safe."

Hmmm... it'd be hard to beat that. "Okay, now will you get off me?"

"You still need to tell me yours." I wanted to know. I had just told him what I felt like.

"I haven't exactly had a person this close to me, since, well... ever. The most positive physical contact I've had was beating someone else with martial arts. So you have no idea what you mean to me." He looked away.

I smiled up at him. I released my arms from around his waist. I turned his face so he was looking at me. "Thank you," I said. I was happy he had finally told me.
