(i is so bored...I'll just add-on)
I walked down the stairs slowly. Once I got into the kitchen my dad had left a note for me.
Ashley,
If I ever catch you skipping school, missing work, or just doing something I don't like ever again. What happened last night will come back ten times worse.
I crumpled up the note to put it in my pocket. -
Eric, feeling kinda uncomfortable in her bedroom alone, went downstairs as well. He stood there, watching her. Something was wrong. He didn't know what, he could just tell.

I noticed Eric was watching me. I quickly put the note in my pocket, and tried to act normalish. I got some cereal out of the cupboard, and some milk out of the fridge and started eating, while trying to look as if nothing was wrong.This is actually the first time he put a threat in a note,I thought.

Trying to lighten the mood a little, I said,"You know..if you want something, you can ask. Standing there with a worried look on your face doesn't help."

Eric sat down at the table, watching Ashley closely. "What's wrong?"

"Eric,nothing's wrong."I said, trying not to worry him more than he already was.

"You're lying. Something's wrong."

"Can't you trust me when I'm saying nothing's wrong?"I said, getting up.

"You just..." Eric started, trying to find a somewhat normal way to say his thoughts. "It just smells like something's wrong but you're hiding."

I gave him a quizzical look. "It smells to you like something's wrong?"

"Yeah. Smells." Eric continued to watch her.

"Okay.."I said, while washing my bowl out in the sink.

"You know how they say some animals can smell fear? It's like that," Eric said. "Just stronger."
