I heard tapping on the window. Looked, only to see it was Eric, and opened the window."He just left."

"Speaking of which, were you serious?" Eric asked, tucking in his wings and climbing inside.

"About what?" I thought about it for a moment."Oh the thing I said earlier. No." As I spoke, I was putting the magazines away and the note tumbled out of my pocket. I grabbed it and shoved it back into my coat pocket.

"Okay. I won't kill him then."

It was good he hadn't noticed the note."So what are you going to do?"

"If I see him hurting you, I'll hurt him twice as hard." Eric had seen something fall out of Ashley's pocket, but he didn't comment on it.

"It's really nice. That you're doing this for me."

I smiled back.

"Was there anything else you were planning on doing today?"

"No..."

"Hmm... we should go do something."
