Jayden leaned into him, eating his food.
Maeve appeared next to Chester. "Hey." -
‘Hey,’ Chester said, looking at her.

"What've you two been up to?"

‘Nothing much,’ Chester said, shrugging. ‘You?’

"Eh, not much either." Maeve shrugged.
"I've just been trying to get Chester to tell me all his secrets now that he has to tell the truth." Jayden said with a teasing tone. Maeve immediately looked at Chester with a 'does he know?' type look. -
Chester shook his head slightly at Maeve.

Jayden's smile disappeared. "What's happening?"

‘Maeve and I are looking at each other,’ Chester answered. Technically, it was true. He snuggled close. ‘Nothing to be concerned about, love.’ He felt like a manipulator saying that.

Jayden frowned. He looked at Maeve curiously, holding his boyfriend close.

Chester snuggled up to him. Maeve glared at Chester. Chester frowned slightly, eyes turning red.

Jayden looked over at Chester, pulling away slightly. "What are you doing?"
Maeve stared back at him. -
‘I’m not doing anything,’ Chester frowned, looking at Jayden. His eyes were still red, but he didn’t realise.

Jayden stared back, going dead silent.
Maeve snapped out of it once he looked away. "Chester. Eyes are red. Stop it." She demanded, glaring. -
Chester panicked. He quickly covered his eyes with his hands. ‘Sorry,’ he mumbled.

Jayden snapped out of it. He didn't remember a single thing about the red eyes. "What just happened?" He asked quietly, looking like he just zoned out for 12 years.
