Maeve sighed. ‘Do you wanna tell him, or should I?’
‘You can.’
‘Every royal magic person has a hidden power, that’s less powerful than their main one. It usually comes out when they turn 18. I don’t have mine yet, but Chester does. When his eyes go red, he hypnotises people.’ -
Jayden immediately gave Chester a terrified look. "And you just did that to me?" He murmured.

Chester seemed to shrink at the tone in his voice. ‘I can’t control it!’

Jayd frowned, nodding slightly. He wasn't mad if he could control it or not. He didn't know if he'd done it before. That was the scary part. What if that's what he's hiding? That he's manipulated you this whole time with hypnosis?

Chester took out his pocket watch and looked in the mirror, making sure his eyes weren’t still red. They were back to their usual brown. He hugged Jayden close. ‘I’m sorry, love, I didn’t realise I was doing it.’

"I know you weren't.' Jayden mumbled, leaning into him slightly.

Chester buried his face in Jayden’s shirt.

Jayden let him, cautiously wrapping his arms around him. He didn't know what to do.

Chester hugged him tightly.

Jayd let him. "Do you want to go?" He asked weakly.

‘Huh?’

"Do you want to go back to your room?"

‘Yes please,’ Chester mumbled.

Jayden nodded, standing up.

Chester stood up, hugging himself.
