Here's some lore on Jynx, the main character in Jailbreak, that absolutely nobody asked for
His name was originally Tallis (i'm a sucker for t names lol) but I changed it for a story prompt in Creative Writing, where we had to make names have meanings, so I changed it to Jinx for that, and then I ended up really liking that so I switched it to Jynx at some point so.... Yeah -
What’s the difference between Jinx and Jynx. I mean it looks better lmao
But slay I love that -
Yeah it just looks better. And I really like putting ys in names for no reason (but if I change Robins name to Robyn I want you to yell at me)

Now, I don’t know how it works in your world, but in mine, we don’t have naturally floating bricks. Especially not in a seemingly secure jail.
I stared at the brick for a moment before glancing at my cellmate. “Mayhem… You’re seeing this, right?”
Mayhem glanced at me and then the brick. “Oh. My. Cecelia.” Cecelia is the name of the alien she claimed went and abducted her when she was 10, but anyways, this is my story, not hers. “Are you… I mean, did you make this float?”
I stared at her. “No! What do you think I am, a warlock?!” I snapped. If I had said that to any other person here, they would’ve gasped over such a taboo accusation, but Mayhem just shrugged.
“Well, you never did tell me why you’re stuck in this hellhole…” She pointed out. You see, being a warlock, or witch, or wizard, or having any sort of magic running through your veins, is a HUGE no-no in Relity, where I just so happened to be stuck in jail at, and when I’m talking no-no, I mean you spend jail time for it- and that’s if you’re LUCKY.
“I’m not stuck here because I used magic!” I rolled my eyes before whacking the brick away and closing my eyes, trying to drown out Mayhem’s jabbering about me being a warlock to try and prevent myself from going insane.
“Jynx…” Mayhem began. I groaned, opening my eyes.
“Mayhem, I’m trying to relax my head after you just accused me of being a WARLOCK-”
“-Just open your eyes!”
I groaned. “Fine!” I opened my eyes and realized 3 things.
1. My goal to prevent myself from going insane was in vain.
2. There was a wall before I closed my eyes. There isn't anymore. Just a huge hole in the wall, a pile of bricks under it, and…
3. There is a boy staring at me through the wall and pile of bricks, with pure black hair, pale skin, and wide, intense eyes the color of ice wide, looking utterly shocked. He was holding an ivory staff like his life depended on it. -
